Made of eight wooden planks

is Neelaveni Akkaa’s shop.
Betel leaves, Areca nut, Sharbath, Thenkuzhal
Candies
Cool earthen-pot buttermilk
Beedis
The heat of cigarette.

In course of time
with the road gradually rising
the patio got stuck in two feet pit.
Neelaveni Akka is seen
at half the height.
Her feet are buried
deep inside the Time
beyond three generations

Time inside the shop
is not there outside.
No way to send inside the shop
the Time outside

When Neelaveni was Akka
She entered inside the shop
It was a time when her full height
was known

Being this side
one can't enter that side.
Being that side means
no entrances for this side.

Between two different Times
just
eight wooden planks.

எட்டு மரப்பலகைகள் கொண்ட
கடை நீலவேணி அக்காவுடையது
வெற்றிலை பாக்கு ,சர்பத் ,தேன்குழல் மிட்டாய்கள்
குளிர்ந்த பானை மோர்
சுற்றுப் பீடிகள்
சுருட்டு வெம்மை
சாலை சிறுக சிறுக உயர்ந்ததில்
திண்ணை இரண்டடி பள்ளத்தில்
மாட்டிக் கொண்டது
நீலவேணி அக்கா
பாதி உயரத்தில்
நின்று தெரிகிறாள்
அவள் காலடிகள்
மூன்று தலைமுறைகளுக்கு
முந்தைய காலத்தில்
புதையுண்டிருக்கிறது
கடைக்குள் உள்ள காலம்
வெளியில் இல்லை
வெளியில் உள்ள காலத்தை
உள்ளே அனுப்ப
வழிகள் ஏதுமில்லை
நீலவேணி அக்காவாக இருக்கும் போது
அந்த கடைக்குள்
நுழைந்தாள்
அவள் முழு உயரம் அறிந்திருந்த
காலம் அது
இந்த பக்கம் இருந்தால்
அந்த பக்கத்திற்குள் நுழைய முடியாது
அந்தப் பக்கமிருந்தாலோ
இந்த பக்கத்திற்கு
வாசல்கள் இல்லை
இருவேறு காலங்களுக்கு மத்தியில்
வெறுமனே
எட்டு பலகைகள்.
