G.P. ELANGOVAN

A POEM BY
G.P. ELANGOVAN

Translated into English by Latha Ramakrishnan (*First Draft)

It is hours since I have landed
in this city.
The sky with drizzle and rain
With no significant change so remain.
In the roads with rainwater drained
the wagons are speeding past
Steadily.
In a junction where three streets
meet
I am waiting for a cup of Tea.
Due to your delay
The Tea began losing its heat
In the end
I, along with giving up the Tea
have also begun renouncing thee.
