A POEM BY
KAZHAARAM THULAALALINGAN
Faces like paper-slips
left behind forgetfully
at the library of Memory.
In the search of the aged brain
some easy to retrieve
many despite diving deep
remain elusive
Hyaloid – the transparent membrane
would show the one between the two
in different hues.
Once it is torn and thrown
the lines drafted by the creator
shrink anon.
ஞாபக நூலகத்தில்
மறந்து வைக்கப்பட்ட
துண்டுச்சீட்டு போன்ற முகங்கள்
வயோதிக மூளைத் தேடலில்
எளிதில் கிட்டிடும் சில
ஆழச்சென்றும் அகப்படா பல
இரண்டிற்கும் இடையிலான ஒன்றை
ஒவ்வொரு மாதிரியாய் காட்டும்
கண்ணாடித்தாள்கள்
கிழித்தெறிந்ததும்
சுருங்கிக் கொள்கின்றன
படைத்தவன் வடித்த வரிகள்
