You are able to realize
as child that understands
that the father returning from
night shift
is but empty-handed.
Now
droplets of water become
unfettered.
Your body turns into a
laboratory
where words are liquefied.
The sari- ‘pallu’ is the beauty
of he
who cleans the tables in a hotel
doing it again and again
feeling desolate
In a textile showroom
when the sari is being spread
and shown
its body and ‘mundhaanai’
portions
_Tears we never ever imagine.
ஏதுமில்லை உனக்கு என்பதை உன்னால்
ஷிப்ட் முடிந்து வரும் தகப்பனிடமிருப்பது வெறுங்கைகள் மட்டுமே
என்பதை ஒரு குழந்தையைப் போலக் கண்டறிந்து விட முடிகிறது
இப்போது
நீர்த்திவலைகளுக்கென ஒரு சுதந்திரம்
சொற்கள் திரவமாக மாறும்
ஓர் ஆய்வகமாகி விடுகிறது உனதுடல்
ஓர் உணவு விடுதியில் மேசையைத் துடைப்பவன் சலிப்பில் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் நேர்த்தி செய்கிற அழகு தான் முந்தானை
ஒரு துணிக்கடையில் இது உடம்பு இது முந்தானை என விரித்துக் காட்டுகிற போது
நாம் ஒருபோதும் கண்ணீரைக் கற்பனை செய்து கொள்வதில்லை
