THE LANGUAGE OF THE BUTTERFLY

Just as the bamboo forests string music
Haya also develops a melodious language of her own
within her.
When it rains
and when rainbow surfaces
It is in this language that she chats with them
to her heart’s content.
And it is in this exclusive language of hers
that she interprets the winking of the stars
and the moon’s non-stop wanderings.
As her language can’t be deciphered by those
who are known to her
She shares all that she wants
mostly with her dear dolls.
On par with the butterfly’s
is the language exclusively hers.

பட்டாம்பூச்சியின் மொழி

மூங்கில் காடுகள்
இசை மீட்டுவதைப் போன்று
ஹயாவும் இனிமையான
மொழி ஒன்றினை
தனக்குள் வளர்த்து வருகிறாள்
மழை பெய்யும் போதும்
வானவில் எழும் போதும்
அவைகளிடம் அம் மொழியால்தான்
தெவிட்டாது பேசிக் கொள்கிறாள்
விண்மீன்கள் கண்சிமிட்டுவதற்கும்
அம்புலி ஓரிடத்தில் நிற்காது
அலைந்து திரிவதற்கும்
தனக்கு வாலாயமான மொழியால்தான்
விடுத்து விடுத்து அர்த்தம் சொல்கிறாள்
தன்னோடு பழகுபவர்களுக்கு
அம் மொழி புரியாதென்பதனால்
தனது பிரியமான பொம்மைகளிடம்தான்
அனேகமாக பரிமாறிக் கொள்கிறாள்
பட்டாம்பூச்சியின் மொழிக்கு நிகரானது
அவள் கையாளும் தெவிட்டா மொழி
