TWO POEMS BY

1. FLOATING IN THE RIVER
From this river can’t separate Yesterday Today Tomorrow
Whether to swim across the river and reach the shore
Or flow along its course
I wonder
If to do just what we know I can easily drown
The legs of storks
though planted firmly inside the water,
their eyes would remain floating
watching the being of fish
With their sharp beaks they lift the fish
that went along the river’s flow.
For compensating the murder of a fish
according to the Butterfly Effect Theory
I may float in the river.
In wild flood can’t swim can’t float
The flood that hauls everything in its deluge
would drag along the banks also
If some word is accessed clinging to it
can float valiantly.
Just one hope-instilling word
Loaded with Love
Or abuse unleashed.
இந்த நதியிலிருந்து நேற்று இன்று நாளையைப் பிரிக்க முடியவில்லை.
ஆற்றின் குறுக்கே நீந்தி கரை ஏறுவதா அதன் போக்கில் போவதாதெரியவில்லை
தெரிந்ததை மட்டுமே செய்ய வேண்டுமெனில் என்னால்
எளிதாக மூழ்க முடியும்
கொக்குகளின் கால்கள்
நீருக்குள் இறுகப் பற்றி இருந்தாலும், கண்கள் நீரில் மிதந்தபடி
மீன்களின் இருப்பைக் கவனிக்கின்றன.
கூரிய அலகில் கொத்தித் தூக்குகின்றன நதியோடு போன மீன்களை. .
ஒரு மீனின் கொலையை ஈடு செய்ய பட்டாம்பூச்சி சிறகடிப்பு தேற்றப்படி
நான் நதியில் மிதக்கலாம்.
காட்டாற்று வெள்ளத்தில் நீந்தவும் முடியாது. மிதக்கவும் முடியாது
அடித்துச் செல்லும் வெள்ளம் கரைகளையும் இழுத்துச் செல்லும்.
ஏதாவது ஒரு சொல் கிடைத்தால் பற்றிக் கொண்டு வீராப்பாய் மிதக்கலாம்..
ஒரே ஒரு நம்பிக்கைச் சொல்
காதல் பொதிந்தது
அல்லது வசவு நிறைந்தது

He who set to motion the Love
didn’t realize that the Love of a zero would begin from a point and
moving ahead in a circular motion
would end in that point itself..
That Love ascending into a half circle
then descending
in a half circle
ended.
Drawing a map of its journey
He referred it as 0.
He who translated it into English
called it ‘Zero’.
‘As it had commenced from the eye
and concluded in tears
Theorem is correct’
_ observed the Mathematician.
‘Rivers would always voyage downwards’
said a naturalist.
‘Spherical globe
‘would take you to the same spot from where you start’ -
Said the Geologist.
‘World in a Nutshell
Nutshell, World
Love has its own course’ -
The spiritualist observed.
‘In a collective crime
a single person can’t file a complaint’ -
So observing the judge dismissed the case.
Not giving any message
ended thus
this moral story, as always.
ஒரு ஜீரோவின் காதல்
ஒரு புள்ளியில் ஆரம்பித்து
அதே புள்ளியில் வந்து
வட்டமாய் முடிவடையும் என்பது
அந்தக் காதலைப் புரிந்தவனுக்குப்
புரியவில்லை...
அந்தக் காதல்
அரை வட்டத்திற்கு மேலேறி
பின் கீழிறங்கி
அரை வட்டமடித்து
முடிந்து போனது..
அதன் பயணத்தை
வரைபடமாய் வரைந்தவன்
' 0 ' என்று குறிப்பிட்டான்.
ஆங்கிலத்தில் மொழி பெயர்த்தவன் ' ஜீரோ ' என்றான்.
கண்ணில் ஆரம்பித்து கண்ணீரில் முடிந்ததால் தேற்றம் சரிதான்
என்றான் ஒரு கணிதவியலாளன்
ஆறுகள் கீழ் நோக்கியே பயணிக்கும்
என்றான் ஓர் இயற்கையாளன்
புவி உருண்டை புறப்பட்ட
இடத்திற்கே
கொண்டு வந்து சேர்க்கும் என்கிறான்
புவி ஆய்வாளன்
அண்டத்தில் பிண்டம்
பிண்டத்தில் அண்டம்
காதல் அதன் போக்கில்
என்றான் ஆன்மீக வாதி.
கூட்டுக் குற்றத்தில்
ஒரு குற்றவாளியின்
பிராது செல்லாது
விசாரிக்க முகாந்திரம் இல்லை
என கை விரித்தான் நீதிமான்
எந்த நீதியையும் போதிக்காது
இப்படித்தான் முடிந்து போயிற்று
இந்த நீதிக் கதை..
