1.RAVING SOLITUDE

The sleep lost as fast as the eyelids were fastened

the cat snatched and hastened off.
What to do with the lock and key
That remain shock to the core?
Suseela knocks at the door.
for query no Nakulan
nor me to
respond.
Returning to the starting point
stands there the Time-doggy.
action reaction
a cyclic run.
The brush having finished its drawing
remains alone between
canvas and colour.
The artists
are impaled in the painting.
Insanely rapturous
the wheat field of
He, the Earless.

உன்மத்த ஏகாந்தம்

இமைகளைப் பூட்டிய வேகத்தில்
தவறவிட்ட நித்திரையை
பூனை கவ்விப் போனது
விக்கித்து நிற்கும்
சாவியையும் பூட்டையும்
என்ன செய்வது?
சுசீலா கதவைத் தட்டுகிறாள்.
கேள்விக்கு
நகுலனுமில்லை.
பதிலுக்கு
நானுமில்லை.
தொடங்கிய இடத்திலேயே
வந்து நிற்கிறது
காலநாய்.
வினைக்கு வினை
ஒரு சுழல் ஓட்டம்.
வரைந்து முடித்த தூரிகை
கித்தானுக்கும்
வண்ணத்திற்குமிடையில்
தனித்திருக்கிறது.
ஓவியர்கள்
ஓவியத்தில்
கழுவேறுகின்றனர்.
உன்மத்தத்தில்
காதற்றவனின் கோதுமைவயல்.

2. DRIFTING BIRD’S DREAM SONG

Through the bamboo grove here that sings not
Time has entangled me
Your game keeping me as the witness _
Does it still go on there
Here the smoke of mountains gone to smithereens
by explosion
The metallic path cutting across its soul
In those pools where elephants used to drink water
crows’ carcasses.
No visuals remain to bring to you, my precious daughter
In their failed attempts midnight dogs howl
looking above, cursing the sky.
Moving ahead the Moon vanishes into the cloud.
Has the Portia tree that flowers no more
feels complete, I wonder.
The water crow surfacing from the
‘fovea centralis’ of inner eye
drinking water from the other side boob of globe
sing aloud in the dream of daughter
fast asleep topsy-turvy _
seeing mountains grow.

திசைப்பறவையின் கனவுப் பாடல்

இங்கே இசைக்காத மூங்கில்காடுகளின் ஊடாய்
என்னை கட்டிவைத்திருக்கிறது காலம்
தொடர்கிறதா இன்னமும் அங்கே
என்னை சாட்சிக்கு வைத்துத் தொடங்கிய
உங்கள் விளையாட்டு
இங்கே வெடியில் தகர்ந்த மலைகளின் புகை
அதன் ஆன்மாவை ஊடறுக்கும் உலோகப்பாதை
யானைகள் நீர்குடித்த குட்டைகளில்
காகங்கள் சடலம்
உனக்கென இங்கிருந்து கொண்டுவர
காட்சிகள் ஏதும் மிச்சமில்லை மகளே
பிரயத்தனத் தோல்வியில்
வான் நோக்கி சபிக்கும்
நள்ளிரவு நாய்கள்
முன்னேகி மறைகிறது மேகத்துள் நிலவு
பூப்பதை நிறுத்திக்கொண்ட பூவரசு
நிறைவைக் கண்டதா தெரியாது
மனக்கண்ணின் குழிமையத்திலிருந்து
வெளிக்கிளம்பிய நீர்க்காகம்
பூமியின் மறுபாகத்து முலையில் நீர்பருகி
நிலை மாறித் தூங்கும் மகள் கனவில்
குரலெடுத்துப் பாடுகிறது
மலைகள் வளரக் கண்டு
