She is an insane woman who unveils her breast

every now and then

and feeds her doll.

Speaking in the language comprehensible to the doll

she would be scaling the length and breadth of the road.

Maybe she is calculating with her lunacy

the distance between

her foetus and the baby lost.

Her madness has been filling the angle

between her shadow and herself

as rainbow.

It was on a night when the god of lunacy had promised

to pay her a visit

A scoundrel had snatched the doll and ran away.

The way she screamed and wailed then

As raging goddess Kaali

Oh god….

At once taking the road in her hand as a whip

she lashed at the houses that stood in a row.

In the heightened lunacy of full-moon day

the moon was vomiting radiance.

அடிக்கடி மார்பை விலக்கி

பொம்மைக்கு பாலூட்டும்

பைத்தியம் அவள்..

பொம்மைக்கு புரியும்

பைத்திய மொழியில் பேசியபடி

வீதியை அளந்து கொண்டிருப்பாள்..

தன் கருவுக்கும்

தொலைந்த குழந்தைக்கும்

இடையேயான தூரத்தை

தன் பைத்தியத்தால்

அளந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறாள் போலும்..

அவள் நிழலுக்கும் அவளுக்கும்

இடையிலான கோணத்தை

வானவில்லாக நிரப்பிக்கொண்டிருந்தது

அவளது பைத்தியம்...

பைத்தியங்களின் கடவுள்

அவளை காணவருவதாக

சொல்லி இருந்த இரவில்தான்,

துக்கிரி ஒருவன் அவள் பொம்மையை பிடுங்கிக்கொண்டு

ஓடி விட்டான்....

ஆங்காரகாளி என அப்போது

அவள் போட்ட ஆட்டம்..

அப்பப்பா....

சட்டென சாலையை

சாட்டை என கையிலெடுத்து

வரிசை கட்டி நின்ற வீடுகளை

விளாசு விளாசு என்று

விளாசித் தீர்த்துவிட்டாள்...

பௌர்ணமி நாளின்

முற்றிய பைத்தியத்தில்

வெளிச்சத்தை

வாந்தி எடுத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தது நிலா...
