THE DARK AND THE MUSIC

The Veena changing place

was lying on his cot sideways

Lifting me he made me recline on his lap

and started strumming

Right above the terrace

midnight moon

melted and dripped.

In the cool shine filling the cabin

with the ceiling seeping

we rolled floating.

An hour before dawn

the strings one by one

were torn and burst apart.

After that despite dawning

Light has never pervaded inside the cabin.

He who makes love through Music

collects the specs of music that

vary within

and smashes them into a mass

so creating me as suits his whims and fancies.

Art is that which

happens outside the body.

That which happens within

is lust.

At the point wherein

Within and Without confront each other

God, the nebulous hypothesis

with no start nor finish

inserts its head into a noose

In the amorphous construct of sound

I emerge as Music

and am waiting.

In the art of lovemaking

of Dark and Light

For he alone

I would be in sight.

இருளும் இசையும்

வீணை இடம்மாறி

அவனது கட்டிலில்

ஒருக்களித்துப் படுத்திருந்தது

என்னைத் தூக்கி

மடியில் சரித்து

மீட்டத்தொடங்கினான்

நடுயிரவு மதியம்

மொட்டைமாடிக்கு நேர் உச்சியில்

உருகிச் சொட்டியது

தளம் கசிந்து அறைக்குள் நிரம்பிய தண்ணொளியில்

மிதந்துப் புரண்டோம்

விடியலுக்கு ஒரு நாழிகைக்கு முன்

தந்திகள் ஒவ்வொன்றாக

அறுந்துத் தெறித்தன

அதற்குப் பிறகு விடிந்தும்

வெளிச்சம் இதுநாள்வரை

அறைக்குள் பரவவில்லை

கலவியை இசையால் நிகழ்த்துபவன்

தன்னில் வேறுபடும்

ஒலித் துகள்களை

அள்ளிப் பிசைந்து

தனக்கு ஏற்றதாய்

என்னைச் செய்வான்

உடம்புக்கு வெளியே

விளைவது கலை

உடம்புக்கு உள்ளே

விளைவது காமம்

உள்ளும் வெளியும்

எதிர்கொள்ளும் புள்ளியில்

கழுத்தில் சுருக்கிட்டுத் தொங்குகிறது

கடவுள் என்னும்

ஆதியும் அந்தமுமில்லா கற்பனை

ஒலியின் உருவிலிச் சமைவில்

இசையாகத் தென்படுகிறேன்

காத்திருக்கிறேன்

இருளும் ஒளியும் புணரும் கலையில்

அவனுக்கு மட்டுமே கட்புலனாவேன்.
