Looking at the tree where seated she said thus:

“While rising above from the branch

the bird’s thought displaces the tree”

‘Time for parting’

I jotted down.

5.45 p.m.

Sharing the lone strand of withered feather

in Facebook

might get delayed by a few moments.

In the long stretch of passage

the cloud coins a poem as follows:

“She who was with the tree

is today with my heart”

The sky and myself

haven’t chosen our gender-stance

The tree

stands tall and erect

as the huge block for both of us

The customary readers of Poetry

_ please excuse me.

In my poem

there might surely be more than one woman.

When she concludes herself

as the breeze surging above from the branch

the winged kite of the boy

who has just got into this scene

gets entangled.

அமர்ந்திருந்த மரத்தினை நோக்கி

இவ்வாறு கூறினாள்

"கிளையிலிருந்து மேலெழுகையில்

பறவையின் சிந்தனை மரத்தினை

இடம்பெயர்க்கிறது"

பிரிவதற்கான நேரமென

குறிப்பெடுத்துக்கொண்டேன்

பிற்பகல் 5.45.

உதிர்ந்து கிடக்கும்

ஒற்றை இறகினை

முகநூலில் பரிமாறிக்கொள்ள

சில கணங்கள் தாமதமாகலாம்.

நெடிய பாதையில்

மேகம் இவ்வாறு கவிதை புனைகிறது

"மரத்தோடு இருந்தவள்

இன்றென் மனதோடு"

நானும் வானமும்

எங்களுக்கான

பால்நிலையினை தேர்வு செய்யவில்லை

மரம் எங்களுக்கான

பெரும்தடையாக

நிமிர்கிறது.

கவிதையின் மரபார்ந்த

வாசகர்கள் மன்னியுங்கள்

எனது கவிதையில்

நிச்சயமாக ஒன்றுக்கு

மேற்பட்ட பெண்கள் இருக்கலாம்

கிளையிலிருந்து

மேலெழும் காற்றாக அவள்

தன்னை இறுதி செய்கையில்

சிக்கி கொள்கிறது

இந்த காட்சிக்குள் இப்போதுதான்

நுழைந்த சிறுவனின்

பறவைப்பட்டம்.

In the page ending with

‘ PTO’

the image of a tree was there

Searching for the third page

of the leaf dropped down

the leaves falling further

probe along the air

At the instant of closing the book

darkness hovers.

Leaving along the way she who

forgot to switch off the light _

Moves on

Tomorrow’s Morn.

I go past the

flight of fancy

about the fireflies

While losing the page that opens

the book again

from some page arrives

the mobile’s signalling light waves.

"மறுபக்கம் பார்க்க"

என முடிந்த பக்கத்தில்

மரத்தின் படம் இருந்தது

கீழே விழுந்த இலையின்

மூன்றாம் பக்கம்

தேடி காற்று வெளியிடையே துழாவுகின்றன

மேலும் வீழ்கின்ற இலைகள்.

புத்தகத்தை மூடும்

தருணத்தில் இருள் கவிழ்கிறது

விளக்கை அணைக்க மறந்தவளை

வழியில் விட்டு நகர்கிறது

நாளைய காலை

மின்மினிகள் குறித்த கற்பனையை

கடந்து செல்கிறேன்

மீண்டும் புத்தகத்தை திறக்கும்

பக்கத்தை தவற விடுகையில்

ஏதோவோர் பக்கத்திலிருந்து

அலைபேசியின் ஒளிச்சமிக்ஞைகள்.
