TWO POEMS BY
NUNDHAAKUMAARUN RAAJAA

1.THE ROBOTIC NIGHT
COMING FOR A DIALOGUE
coming in view
the Moon moves on
It keeps moving on.
For crossing the distance of night
the wings of fans flutter
and they go on fluttering.
It is along the orbit that the bats select
the earth now revolves.
and it goes on revolving.
The dusk of awakening
goes searching for the primordial night
in the facsimiles of night-time
and it goes on searching
Once entering the realm of sleep
the robotic night coming to converse
crossing the commercial- ad dreams
keeps saying just this on a 'circadian rhythm'
and it keeps on saying.
O, has the Sleep gone
Is the Dawn born
The night-flowering jasmines shed
They keep shedding
The squirrels screech
They go on screeching
The koel coos
It goes on cooing.
உரையாட வரும் எந்திர இரவு
கண்ணுக்குச் சிக்கிய நட்சத்திரங்களிடம்
நலம் விசாரித்தபடி நகர்கிறது நிலவு
நகர்ந்து கொண்டேயிருக்கிறது
இரவின் தூரத்தைக் கடக்க
மின்விசிறிகளின் சிறகுகள் பறக்கின்றன
பறந்து கொண்டேயிருக்கின்றன
வௌவால்கள் திட்டமிடும் பாதையில் தான்
இப்போது பூமி சுழல்கிறது
சுழன்று கொண்டேயிருக்கிறது
ஜாமத்தின் பிரதிகளில்
ஆதியிரவைத் தேடி அலைகிறது
விழிப்பின் அஸ்தமனம்
அலைந்து கொண்டேயிருக்கிறது
தூக்கத்தின் தளத்தில் நுழைந்ததும்
விளம்பரக் கனவுகள் தாண்டி
உரையாட வரும் எந்திர இரவு
இதைத் தான் நாள்தோறும் சொல்கிறது
சொல்லிக் கொண்டேயிருக்கிறது
தூக்கம் விட்டதோ
விடியல் தொட்டதோ
பவழமல்லிகள் உதிர்கின்றன
உதிர்ந்து கொண்டேயிருக்கின்றன
அணில்கள் கீச்சிடுகின்றன
கீச்சிட்டுக் கொண்டேயிருக்கின்றன
மாங்குயில் கூவுகிறது
கூவிக் கொண்டேயிருக்கிறது

Alright , leave him
For writing like the creations of one you like
(Don’t want to list out the names here)
You should become the respective He or she.
This ‘becoming ‘ is the key
Nothing should become more
or less.
That the good and the bad of the phrase
‘The rain of action is the dust of energy’
should be of the same proportion _
In this message lies
the handcuff for the captive of this news.
That’s why
‘ Mind your own business’ said one.
The magic of transforming news into poetry
He didn’t want to teach anybody.
You attempting to lead a life
choosing the good traits alone
of another person
is a crime.
in the focus of your motivation
the way sounds getting blunted
and coming face to face with their ideal death
_ have you crossed sympathizing as
accident happened to someone unknown.
You would have had some more important work.
Then Why What for How
could you turning into another
be possible now.

எழுத வேண்டுமெனில்
சார்ல்ஸ் ப்யுகோவ்ஸ்கி மாதிரிக் கவிதை எழுத வேண்டுமெனில்
நீங்கள் 'சார்ல்ஸ் ப்யுகோவ்ஸ்கி' ஆக வேண்டும்
சரி அவர் வேண்டாம்
உங்களுக்குப் பிடித்த ஒருவரின் படைப்புகள் போல
(இங்கே பட்டியல் போட விரும்பவில்லை)
நீங்களும் படைக்க வேண்டுமெனில்
நீங்களும் 'அவராக' வேண்டும்
இந்த 'அவராவது' என்பது தான் சூட்சுமம்
எதுவும் கூடவோ எதுவும் குறையவோ
கூடாது
'செயலின் மழை தான் சக்தியின் புழுதி' என்ற சொற்றொடரின்
நல்லதும் கெட்டதும் அதே சரி விகிதத்தில்
இருக்க வேண்டும்
என்பதில் தான் இருக்கிறது
இந்தச் செய்தியின் கைதிக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டிருக்கும்
விலங்கு
எனவே தான்
'உங்கள் வேலையை நீங்கள் பாருங்கள்' என்றார்
ஒருவர்
செய்தியைக் கவிதையாக்கும் வித்தையை
அவர் யாருக்கும் கற்றுத் தர விரும்பவில்லை
இன்னொருவரின் நற்பண்புகளை மட்டும் தேர்ந்து
நீங்கள் வாழ முனைவது ஒரு குற்றம்
செயலூக்கத்தின் கவனக் குவிப்பில்
சப்தங்கள் முனை மழுங்கித்
தம் லட்சியச் சாவைத் தரிசிப்பதை
நீங்கள் யாரோ ஒருவரின் விபத்து போலப்
பரிதாபப்பட்டுக் கடந்து போயிருக்கிறீர்களா
உங்களுக்கு வேறு முக்கிய வேலை இருந்திருக்கும்
அப்புறம் ஏன் எதற்கு எப்படி
நீங்கள் யாரோ வேறு ஒருவராவது
