As the hope-instilling smile

gifted to the patient

by the nurse, while taking leave

after her day’s work

The kiss planted by the child

while retrieving a kitten

huddled in the downpour

and shrouding it in her rags.

As the hands that embrace

physically impaired better-half

with enduring love

then and now.

As the solace to the friend

who stands there feeling ashamed

to spell out the last betrayal faced

with hopes torn apart -effaced.

The word uttered by the Mother

for the heartless son

in front of the people gathered

“Poor boy, he had an arduous trip

Thus

It can be anything, I avow

caressing my face with your eyes

that swirl like Music

When you ask

what means Love

பணி மீளும் தாதியொருத்தி விடைபெறுகையில்

நோயாளிக்குப் பரிசளிக்கிற

அன்றைய இரவை வெல்லும் நம்பிக்கையூட்டும் புன்னகையாக.

பொழிமழையில் ஒடுங்கிய பூனைக்குட்டியொன்றை

சிறுமழலை தன் கிழிசலாடையில் பொதிந்து இடும்

முத்தமாக.

அங்கங்குறைந்த துணையை ஆயுள் முழுமைக்கும்

குறையா நேசத்துடன் அரவணைக்கும் கைகளாக.

உடைந்த நம்பிக்கைகள் ஏந்தி எதிர்கொண்ட கடைசி துரோகத்தைச்

சொல்லக் கூசி நிற்கும் நட்புக்கான ஆறுதலாக.

மனசில் ஈரமற்ற மகவுக்கென ஊர் முன்னே தாய் வைக்கிற

பாவம் அவனுக்கு பயணஞ்சிரமம் எனுஞ் சொல்லாக.

இப்படி எதுவுமாக இருக்கலாம் என்கிறேன்.

நீ

இசையெனச் சுழலுமுன் கண்களால் என் முகத்தை ஒற்றியபடி

காதல் என்றால் என்ன என்கையில்.
