SIPPING THE LIGHT

The sparrow-lark that flies a kite

in the thin string of dawn
drinks the radiance
and quenches its thirst.

Chill becomes an identity
Chill becomes an anxiety
Chill turns round
and endured in the throat.

While collecting and swallowing the saliva
it goes rotating like fire-balls
Heat inside - it is sheer furnace
In

The yellow sparrow-lark
enraged
keeps pecking at the diamond-fruits
that gleam on grass-blades
and devovour them all.

Doesn’t matter.

That is an ornament
Despite its absence
in the long veins filled with the fragrance of Green
there resonates
Beauty’s gaiety.
The relentless dance of the abstract dreams
fluttering in the breeze.

Light has turned a Drink.

பானமாகிய ஒளி

உதயத்தின் மெல்லிய நூலில்
பட்டம்விடும் நெற்குருவி ஒளியை அருந்தி
தாகசாந்தி பெறுகிறது
குளிர் அடையாளமாகிறது
குளிர் அவஸ்தையாகிறது
குளிர் உருண்டையாகிறது
தொண்டைக்குள் பொறுத்துக் கொள்கிறது
எச்சில் கூட்டி விழுங்கும் போது
நெருப்புக் கோளமாய் உருண்டு செல்கிறது
உள்ளே வெம்மை. அது சூளை
அந்தரமான தகிப்பில் வெந்து குழைகிறது
மாய வனம்
புல் நுனியில் மினுங்கும் வைரப் பழங்களை
உக்கிரமாகும் மஞ்சள்க்குருவி
கொத்தித் தின்று தீர்க்கிறது
போகட்டும்
அது ஆபரணம்
அதுவல்லாத போதும் பச்சை கமகமக்கும்
நீள நரம்புகளில் ஆலாபிக்கிறது
அழகின் கொண்டாட்டம்
இளம் காற்றில் சடசடக்கும் அரூபக் கனவுகளின் தீராத நடனம்
ஒளி பானமாகிவிட்டது
