EARTH

A a ripened leaf

The duck is swimming on the water

Every now and then

Turning its neck on all 360 degrees

It ensures its safety.

Dipping just its head

it searches for food enough

Its dance outside the water

With wind-stuffed feet

and a short flight

are but its momentary repose.

As a little girl

left alone in an unusual situation

hiding the fact of her attaining puberty

in a dark corner

the duck lays its eggs

somewhere in secrecy.

The traveler enthralled by its song

lifting it by its neck

confines it it in his shed

Even now it lays

eggs ordinary.

Of them one

shines golden

in the dream of the man.

பூமி

ஒரு பழுத்த இலையைப் போல

நீரின் மேல்

நீந்திக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது வாத்து.

360° கோணத்திலும் கழுத்தைச் சுழற்றித்

தன் பாதுகாப்பை

உறுதிசெய்து கொள்கிறது அவ்வப்போது.

தலையை மட்டும் அமிழ்த்தித்

தனக்குப் போதுமான உணவைத் தேடுகிறது.

காற்றடைக்கப்பட்ட பாதங்களால்

நீருக்கு வெளியே ஆடும் நடனமும்

சிறு பறத்தலும்

அதன் கணநேர ஆசுவாசமே.

ஒரு அசாதாரணச் சூழலில்

யாருமற்று தனித்து விடப்பட்ட சிறுமி

தான் பூப்படைந்ததை

இருளின் ஒரு மூலையில்

மறைத்து வைப்பதைப் போலத்

தன் முட்டைகளை

ரகசியமாக எங்கோ இடுகிறது

அந்த வாத்து.

அதன் வசீகரிக்கும் தொடர்ச்சியான

பாடலால் கவரப்பட்ட ஒரு பயணி

கழுத்தைப் பிடித்துத் தூக்கிச் சென்று

அதைத் தன் கொட்டிலில் அடைக்கிறான்.

இப்போதும் அது

சாதாரண முட்டைகளையே இடுகிறது

அவற்றிலொன்று

பொன்னைப் போல மின்னுகிறது

அந்தப் பயணியின் கனவில்.
