1.POSTPONEMENT

Unable to rehearse

I have suspended my stream of consciousness,
leaving the words hanging
like the worn-out door of our house
with attempts at being alone
and leafing through the pages of
old books.
As part of this exercise,
spreading all over the room
the letters given by him in all love
once upon a time
I avidly read them….
Thinking of the streets and lanes
I burst out weeping.
Ransacking all those wastelands
tramped by my feet
I let them fly through the window…

And, isolating the sweltering heats
unleashed awfully
not allowing it to bond with Corona
In order to while away the time
combining rice and milk
I feed my self.

ஒத்தி வைத்தல்.!!!
¶¶¶
ஒத்திகை பார்க்க முடியாமலே
எந்தன் நினைவோடையை
ஒத்தி வைத்திருக்கிறேன்
எங்கள் வீட்டு பழைய கதவு போல
சொற்களை தொங்கவிட்டு...
எப்படி தனித்திருப்பதும்
பழைய புத்தகங்களை பிரட்டுவதுமான
முயற்சிப்புகளோடு...
அதில்
பிரிதொரு நாளில்
அவன் ஆசையாய்த் தந்த
காகிதங்களை
அறை முழுவதும் பரத்தி
ஆசை தீர வாசிக்கிறேன்...
தெருக்களை நினைத்து
விம்மி வெடிக்கிறேன்
என் கால்த் தடங்கள் மிதித்த
தரிசு நிலங்களை சூறையாடி
ஜன்னல் வழியாக பறக்க விடுகிறேன்...
மிகுதியாய்
அகோரமாய்ப் பாயும் வெக்கைககளை
கோரோனாவோடு கூட்டுச்சேராத படி
தனிமைப்படுத்தி
நாட்களை நகர்த்த
பாலும் சோறும் சேர்த்து வைத்து
ஊட்டுகிறேன் சுயமாக.!!!

2. MARTYRS

That the doors of paradise are wide opened _

pronounce the words of Allah who guides us,
and the deeds of the Prophet.

Whenever I think of you too
joining the list of Shaheeds
who die in the hands of deadly ailment
Imaginations run riot in me
all too longingly.

Whenever your status is elevated
Time runs hastily
with we worrying over our lives
and gathering things scattered

You are indeed blessed souls.
Steeped in our tussle and scuffle with sins
we are forever struggling,
forgetting Mehsar*

Tomorrow
or many years later
We would also come with you
Not as Shaheeds*
but as mere humanbeings!!!

*Mehser – The Day of Judgment

சுவர்க்கத்தின் வாசல் கதவு
திறந்திருப்பதாய் சொல்கிறது
எங்களை வழி நடாத்தும்
இறைவனின் பேச்சும்
இறைத் தூதரின் செயற்பாடும்...
கொடிய நோய் பீடித்து
வபாத்தாகும் ஷஹீதுகளின்
பட்டியல்களில்
நீங்களும் சேர்ந்து கொண்டதை
நினைக்கும் போதெல்லாம்
ஆசை ஆசையாய்
எனக்குள்ளும் கற்பனைகள்
உருவெடுத்துப் பாய்கிறது...
உங்கள் அந்தஸ்துகள்
உயரும் போதெல்லாம்
நாங்கள்
நாளைய வாழ்வை நினைத்து
பொருட்களைப் பொறுக்குவதில்
நேரங்கள் கடக்கிறது வேகமாக...
நீங்கள் கொடுத்து வைத்தவர்கள்
நாங்கள் இன்னுமே
பாவங்களோடு முட்டிமோதி
தத்தளித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறோம்
மஹ்ஸரை மறந்து...
நாளை அல்லது
பல ஆண்டுகள் கழித்து
நாங்களும்
உங்களோடு வருவோம்
ஷஹீதுகளாய் அல்ல
வெறும் மனிதர்களாய்.!!!
