Some female

plucks it softly

Some female

strings it with her gentle hands

Some female

collects the leaves withered

of heat unbearable

Some female keeps it aside

for biodegradable trash

Thus this day stockpiled as manure

unfolds the petals of another day .

In order to collect the honey meant for it

before some female comes to collect

there hums the Golden Bee

that with the passage of Time

‘ceased to be’

யாரோ ஒருத்தி

அலுங்காமல் குலுங்காமல் பறிக்கிறாள்.

யாரோ ஒருத்தி

தன் மென்கரங்களால் தொடுக்கிறாள்.

யாரோ ஒருத்தி

பேரம் பேசாமல் சூடுகிறாள்.

யாரோ ஒருத்தி

வெப்பத்தால் கருகிய சருகுகளை

வாரி அள்ளுகிறாள்.

யாரோ ஒருத்தி

மட்கும் குப்பைக்கு ஒதுக்குகிறாள்.

இப்படியாக, உரமாகத் தேங்கிய இந்நாள் இன்னொரு நாளை மலர்த்தெடுக்கிறது.

யாரோ ஒருத்தி வரும் முன்

தனக்கான தேனெடுக்க ரீங்கரிக்கிறது

காலத்தால் காணாமல் போன பொன்வண்டு.

Like the mentally deranged woman

coming out of the Subway

crowded with posters

within and without

Coming all too casually from the dark _

This Day.

In the photograph taken

standing beside

after offering a morsel of food

for one meal

Your smile is not

all that natural.

உள்ளும் புறமும் சுவரொட்டி அப்பிய

சுரங்கப்பாதையிலிருந்து வெளிவரும்

மனநிலை பிறழ்ந்தவளைப் போல

இருளிலிருந்து

எந்த விகற்பமுன்றி வெளிவருகிறது

இந்நாள்.

ஒருவேளைக்கான

உணவுத்துணுக்கைக் கையளித்து

அருகில் நின்று

எடுத்த புகைப்படத்தில்

அவ்வளவு இயல்பாக இல்லை

உன் புன்னகை.
