FIGHTER BIRDS

Birds that have notes on war

concealed in the folds of their feathers

are born day after day.

With the dreams of their forefathers in one eye

and their existential struggle in the other

carrying perseverance as their goal

in one wing they fly on and on.

The joys of yesterdays

the woes of today

and the expectations of tomorrow

they feed their little ones.

They instill in their chicks

an understanding of conflict and combat

right in their nests.

Bearing the residual fear

round their neck

They cross distances.

This is how

birds live their lives

in skies exclusive; their own.

சமர் பறவைகள்

சிறகுகளின் மடிப்புகளில்

சமர் குறிப்புகளை வைத்திருக்கும்

பறவைகள் தினம் தினம் பறக்கின்றன

தமது மூதாதைகளின் கனவை ஒரு விழியிலும்

தமது வாழ்க்கை போராட்டத்தை மறு விழியிலும் சுமந்து வைராக்கியத்தை இலக்காக

ஒற்றை சிறகிலும் தூக்கி பறக்கிறது

நேற்றின் மகிழ்ச்சியையும்

இன்றைய அவலங்களையும்

நாளைய எதிர்பார்ப்புக்களையும்

தனது குஞ்சுகளுக்கு உணவுடன் ஊட்டுகிறது

சமர் பற்றிய புரிதலை

தமது குஞ்சுகளுக்கு கூடுகளிலேயே அறியப்படுத்துகிறது

அச்சத்தின் எச்சங்களை

தமது கழுத்தில் சுமந்து கொண்டு

தூரங்களை பறந்து கடக்கின்றன

இப்படித்தான் பறவைகள்

தங்கள் வானங்களில்

வாழ்க்கையை நடத்துகின்றன....
