THE SEA

Massive expanse of water

Moon’s mirror

The seed of rain-cloud

Gem of a woman concealing pearls

deep inside her blue-body

Ships’ circular pathway

The swimming pool of fishes

Great grand palace of turtles.

Water-bridge linking shores galore.

Retiring spot of crabs.

The primordial mother yielding conches.

Watery jungle having volcanoes within

An evergreen young woman who devours the ashes

of the dead and disappeared.

Benign mother who cradles the catamarans.

A lovely lass unperturbed by Sun’s heat

and never turning hot

giggling gaily.

The queen of cool having waves as curly hair.

None has gauged the Sea.

A conjurer unparalleled who made fantasy voyages

real to the sailors

The whales’ lagoon.

Hanuman crossed the sea, they say.

We really do it every day

(voyaging in ships)

Waves never cease to be in the sea

So our thoughts continue to be

So does Love on the land, you see.

கடல்

பரந்த நீர்ப்பரப்பு

நிலா முகம் பார்க்கும் கண்ணாடி

மழை மேகத்தின் விதை

ஆழ முத்துக்களை நீல உடலுக்குள் மறைத்து வைத்த

மாதரசி

கப்பல்களின் நீள வட்டச்சாலை

மீன்களின் நீச்சல் குளம்

கடல் ஆமைகளின் மாபெரும் மாளிகை

பல கரைகளை இணைக்கும் தண்ணீர் பாலம்

நண்டுகளின் ஒதுங்குமிடம்

சங்குகளை விளைவிக்கும் ஆதித்தாய்

எரிமலைகளை உள்ளடக்கிய நீர்க்காடு

மறைந்தவர்களின் அஸ்தியை சாப்பிடும் பேரிளம் பெண்

கட்டுமரங்களை தாலாட்டும் அன்னை

கதிரவன் வெப்பத்தால் கலக்கமுறாது ,சூடாகாது

சிரிக்கும் சுந்தரி

அலைகளை கூந்தலாய் கொண்ட குளிர்நாயகி

கடலை அளந்தவர்கள் இல்லை

கற்பனை பயணங்களை மாலுமிகளுக்கு நிஜமாக்கிய

மாபெரும் வித்தைக்காரி

திமிங்கிலங்களின் தடாகம்

அனுமான் கடலை தாண்டியதாகச் சொல்கிறார்கள்

ஆனால் நாம் நிஜத்தில் தாண்டிக்கொண்டு தான் இருக்கிறோம் (கப்பல்களில் )

அலைகள் ஓய்வதில்லை கடலில்

எண்ணங்கள் ஓய்வதில்லை மனதில்

காதல்கள் ஓய்வதில்லை நிலத்தில் !!!
