MALINI MALA

In the body-floating water body

standing on one leg, doing penance

the stork remains forlorn

till fish is seen.

A cluster of tiny ants

carrying along an earthworm

in the manner of a creeper plant

clinging on to an automobile shaft.

A butterfly that has smelt honey

is circling the violet bunch of flowers

searching for a blossom unruffled by beetle.

For those observed by me

sitting on the fifth of the flight of steps

with legs playing with the water

no need to take me into account

beyond their hunger for survival

same is the case with me

with all the worldly hankerings

subsiding.

உடல் மிதக்கும் நீரில்

ஒற்றைக்கால் தவமாய்

உறுமீன் வரும்வரை

வாடியிருக்கிறது

கொக்கு.

நீண்டு பருத்த

வாகனக்கொம்பொன்றினை

காவும் பக்தரைப்போல்

நாக்கிளிப் புழுவொன்றை

தூக்கிச்சுமந்து

ஊர்வலம் போகின்றதொரு

சிற்றெறும்புக் கூட்டம்.

தேனை

மோப்பங்கண்ட

பட்டாம்பூச்சியொன்று

ஊதாப்பூங்கொத்தில்

வண்டூதா மலர் தேடி

வளையமிட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது.

படிக்கட்டின்

ஐந்தாம் வரிசையிலமர்ந்து

கால்களை நீரில் அளைந்து கொண்டு

பார்வையை அலையவிட்ட

நான் அவதானித்த அவைகளுக்கு

வாழ்தலுக்கான பசியன்றி

என்னை ஒரு பொருட்டென

அவதானிக்கும்

அவசியமேதுமிருக்கவில்லை

உலகத்தின் மீதான

பசியனைத்தும்

அடங்கிய எனக்கும்.....
