I am digging a pit for myself
It is just that _
How many days it would take
I know not.

Pits, despite you wishing for two
You would get just one, mind you.

For the ants and worms to eat
Oh, how glorious a life we are to lead
With the glory left behind
the corpse goes above.

Even if placed on sandal and burnt
crematorium has just one scent
and the same flame.

How fine a pit we dig
depends on
how we live.

Also
Pits upon which no design exists
look exquisite.
They don’t clean the sins
nor underline them.

Death on a rainy day
a boon for the Departed
But, for those who steer him
to the land of farewell_
sheer ordeal.

Death is not that easy.
Long wait is a prerequisite, you see….

எத்தனை நாட்கள் ஆகும் ?
1
எனக்கு ஒரு குழி
வெட்டிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்
அதற்கு இன்னும்
எத்தனை நாட்கள் ஆகும்
என்பதுதான் தெரியவில்லை

இரண்டு குழிகளுக்கு
ஆசைப்பட்டாலும்
ஒரு குழிதான்
கிடைக்கும்

எறும்பும் புழுவும் உண்பதற்கு
எவ்வளவு மேன்மை பொருந்திய
வாழ்க்கையை வாழ வேண்டியிருக்கிறது ?
மேன்மை இங்கே தங்க
சவம்
மேலே செல்கிறது

சந்தனத்தில் வைத்து எரித்தாலும்
சுடலைக்கு ஒரே
மணம் தான்
ஒரே
ஜ்வாலை தான்

குழியை எவ்வளவு வடிவாக வெட்டுகிறோம் என்பது
வாழ்வதைப் பொறுத்து
இருக்கிறது

மேற்கொண்டு குழிமேல்அமைப்பு
ஏற்படுத்தாத குழிகளே
அழகாக
இருக்கின்றன
அவை பாவங்களைத்
துலக்குவதுமில்லை
துருத்துவதும் இல்லை
7
மழை நாளில் மரணம்
போகிறவனுக்கோ சிறப்பு
அழைத்துச் செல்பவர்களுக்கோ
சிரமம்
8
மரணம் அவ்வளவு எளிமையில்லை
நிறைய காத்திருக்கவேண்டும்
