TWO POEMS BY
K.STALIN
Translated into English by Latha Ramakrishnan(*First Draft)
Would call in bird’s voice
Bewildered
Before opening _
the door
that once upon a time
bore
nests
in a forest.
2. THE SUN FOR SALE
The lady who slices the watermelon into twos and fours
is splitting the sun into small pieces.
The one who buys a small slice of sun
for ten rupees
at this midday hour
makes the sun set inside his
stomach.
