THE COLD KNEELING DOWN

While slicing off the chill from the mount

before bundling the heat from inside the sea

the train meant for him

whistles in time.

The eastern corner of the nineteenth floor

of the sea-embracing city

fumes.

The stone to be fitted

is leisurely sleeping inside the furnace.

The legs that kick

break the stone-heads with the earthen paste

still moist

The mountain-town held in hands stretched through

the train _

the sea loves the most.

Also the sight of converting the worn-out backbones

into railroads

and kneeling down _

it relishes utmost.

தெண்டனிடும் குளிர்

மலையிலிருந்து குளிரை

வெட்டும்போதும்

கடலுக்குள்ளிருந்து வெப்பத்தை

மூட்டை கட்டுவதற்குள்ளும்

தாமதமின்றிக் கூவுகிறது

அவனுக்கான ரயில்.

கடல் தழுவும் நகரத்தின் பத்தொன்பதாவது மாடியின்

கிழக்கு மூலை கொதிக்கிறது

பொருத்த வேண்டிய கல்லோ

சூளைக்குள்

சாவகாசமாக தூங்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது.

இன்னுமா வேகவில்லையென

உதைக்கும் கால்கள்

மண்பசை காயாத கற்களின் மண்டையை உடைக்கிறது

ரயிலின் வழியாக

நீண்ட கைகளால் ஏந்தும் மலையூரை

கடலுக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்திருக்கிறது

தேய்ந்த முதுகெலும்புகளை

தண்டவாளங்களாக மாற்றி

தெண்டனிடும் காட்சியும்

அதற்கு கொள்ளை விருப்பம்தான்.
