As the pillar in a shrine of Lord Aranga

with the smudge of the oil residual

upon your fingers

I remain here and now.

The gravel stones of soulful moments

lived and waded through

A blade of grass of Time

of the corridors of Lord Aranga’s temple

with the spread of gravel stones

sprouts defying the stamping feet.

While circumambulating

the rainbow of the murmurs of my hymns

for Lord Aranga

appears as the halo….

The swing of devotion

of the laden heart that prostrates

and prays

rise and

remains there

not lowering.

Standing in front

with palms together paying homage

at this time when the Garuda Eons

as eyelids within me

blinking

and quivering

a lamp of joy is raised above

and taken in a circular motion

for Lord Aranga, the benign.

Oh do worship him

patting your cheeks devoutly…

Then

in the palm of you and me

extending

a droplet of moisture

would fill and swell…..

Oh do cherish it in your heart

before it starts drying up

Henceforth let devotion

fill your heart

as pillars plenteous…

sans oil stains.

அரங்கனின் கோவில் ஒன்றில்

உங்கள் விரல்களின்

மீந்த எண்ணெய்

அப்பிக்கிடக்கும்

தூணாகக் கிடக்கிறேன் இன்று...

வாழ்ந்து கடந்த

ஆன்ம நொடிகளின்

கற்கள்

பாவிக் கிடக்கும்

அரங்கக் கோவிலின்

பிரகாரத்தின்

காலப் புல் ஒன்று

பாதமிதிகளை மீறி

துளிர்க்கிறது...

சுற்றி வருகையில்

அரங்கனுக்கான

என் பிரபந்தகளின்

முணுமுணுப்பின்

வானவில்

மேற் வட்டமென

தோற்றமளிக்கிறது...

விழுந்து வணங்கும்

கனத்த இதயத்தின்

பக்தி ஊஞ்சல்

உயர்ந்து

தாழ மறுத்து

கிடத்தப்பட்டிருக்கிறது...

எதிரே

நின்றபடி

கைகூப்பிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்

கருட யுகங்கள்

என்னுள் இமைகளாய்

மூடித் திறந்து

துடிக்கும் இப்பொழுதில்

மகிழ்வின்

தீபம் ஒன்று

அரங்கனைச் சுற்றி

சுழற்றப்படுகிறது....

கன்னத்தில்

போட்டுக் கொள்ளுங்கள்...

பின் நீளும்

உங்களதும் என்னதுமான

உள்ளங்கையில்

ஈரத்தின் துளியொன்று

நிரம்பித் தளும்பும்...

அதை இதயத்திற்குள்

பூட்டிக் கொள்ளுங்கள்

காயத் தொடங்குவதற்குமுன்...

உங்களின்

இதயமெல்லாம்

இனி பக்தி

எண்ணெய் தடவப்படாத

ஆயிரங்கால்

தூண்களால் நிரம்பட்டும்...
