(1)
“Emergency” says he.
No time to wear the protective mask and gown
I run
Life on the throes of death
The final few moments….
We try all we can…..
Mortuary staff arrives…
"Where?"
"Here it is inside"
I say
That which was animate
turning inorganic
remains inside white polythenes.

அவசரம்
என்கிறான்....
பாதுகாப்பு ஆடை
அணிய அவகாசமில்லை....
ஓடிச்செல்கிறேன்
ஆடி அடங்கும்
இறுதிக்கணங்கள்....
முடிந்ததை
செய்கிறோம்....
பிணவறை ஊழியன்
வருகிறான்...
எங்கே?
இதற்குள்தான்
இருக்கிறது
என்கிறேன்....
உயர்திணையாய்
இருந்த ஒன்று
அஃறிணையாகி
வெள்ளை பொலித்தீன்களுள்.

‘Rain was pouring’
in my son’s sentence.
In the two spaces between the sentence
his paper boats were voyaging.
On the day when the Suez Canal was closed
between ‘It rained’ and ‘It will rain’
I changed ‘It was raining’ to ‘ it rained’
On the day when the closed canal was reopened
His paper boats had three effects
1.They had become real ships
2.The voyage of Time had come to an end.
3. He had grown up.
And also
I had turned into the assassin
killing the poet in my son.

மகனின் வாக்கியத்தில்
"மழை பெய்து கொண்டிருந்தது"
வாக்கியத்தின்
இரண்டு இடைவெளிகளிடையேயும்
அவனது காகிதக்கப்பல்கள்
பயணம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தன
"மழை பெய்ததற்கும்"
"மழை பெய்யும்"
என்பதற்கும் இடையில்.
சுயஸ் கால்வாய்
முடக்கப்பட்ட தினத்தில்
"பெய்து கொண்டிருந்தது" என்பதை
"பெய்துகொண்டிருந்தது" என மாற்றினேன்.
முடக்கப்பட்ட கால்வாய்
திறக்கப்பட்ட தினத்தில்
அவனின் காகிதக் கப்பல்கள்
மூன்று விளைவுகளை கொண்டிருந்தன.
1.அவைகள் நிஜக்கப்பல்களாயிருந்தன.
2.காலப்பயணம் முடிந்திருந்தது.
3.அவன் வளர்ந்தவனாயிருந்தான்.
மேலும்
மகனுள்ளிருந்த கவிஞனை
நான் கொன்றவனாயிருந்தேன்.
