Through lawns and valleys

The night flies wandering

Just to have a look at the night

shrunken to the size of an insect

I am sitting in the mountain slopes

I keep trying to change the night

back to its original shape

before people arrive in multitudes

The laws of fantasy do not allow it

Eventually as I chased it

It flew and got into a lone cipher

Going near and seeing

I come to know that the zero has no doors.

Then how could it have entered?

After imagining

Words wipe away the magical chant

meant for return.

That’s why any and everyone

could read it now and then.

புல்வெளிகளிலும்

பள்ளத்தாக்குகளிலும்

பறந்து திரிகிறது இரவு.

ஒரு பூச்சியளவில்

சிறுத்த அந்த இரவை

பார்ப்பதற்கென்றே

மலைச்சரிவுகளில் அமர்ந்திருக்கிறேன்.

சனங்கள் கூடுவதற்கு முன்

பழையபடி இரவை மாற்றிவிட

முயற்சித்தபடி இருக்கிறேன்.

கற்பனையின் விதிகள்

அதற்கு இடந்தரவில்லை.

கடைசியில், அதை விரட்ட

பறந்து சென்று

தனித்த பூச்சியம் ஒன்றினுள்

நுழைந்துவிடுகிறது.

அருகில் சென்று பார்க்கையில்

அதற்கு கதவுகள் இல்லை என்றறிகிறேன்.

எப்படி நுழைந்திருக்கும்?

கற்பனை செய்த பிறகு

அதிலிருந்து திரும்பி வருவதற்கான மந்திரத்தை

சொற்கள் அழித்துவிடுகின்றன.

அதனால்தான், எவரும் வாசிக்க முடிகிறது.
