CURRENT CONSCIOUSNESS

I have left in the realm of Future

the seat I usually occupy

It sits facing the point where the East and the West meet

It is sitting there

books are being read these days

The creations that come into being

from each book

stroll with current consciousnesses.

In the track of wilderness

where I go for a walk daily

a creation followed me last.

The Mynah written in that creation

and the marvel of the permutation and

combination of stars

Upon rising from the chair

come and go.

The chair remains there

not just empty

Not only facing the future

But also sits calm and composed

With none to change the direction

and turn it around.

நிகழ்கால பிரஞை

எதிர்காலவெளியில் விட்டு வந்திருக்கிறேன்

வழக்கமாக உட்காரும் இருக்கையை

அது கிழக்கும் தெற்கும் சந்தித்துக்கொள்ளுகிற புள்ளியை நோக்கி

அமர்கிறது தினமும்

அவ்விருக்கையில் அமர்ந்தபடிதான் நூல்கள் இப்போதெல்லாம் வாசிக்கப்படுகின்றன

நூல்கள் ஒவ்வொன்றிலிருந்தும் உருப்பெறும் படைப்புகள்

நிகழ்காலப் பிரஞைகளோடு உலவுகின்றன

தினசரி நடைக்குப் போகும் பொட்டல்வெளித் தடத்தில்

படைப்பொன்று கடைசியாகப் பின்தொடர்ந்து வந்தது

படைப்பில் எழுதப்பட்ட மைனாவும்

நட்சத்திரச் சேர்க்கைகளின் விந்தையும்

இருக்கையைவிட்டு எழுந்தபோது

வந்துபோகின்றன

இருக்கை காலியாக மட்டுமல்ல

எதிர்காலத்தைப் பார்த்து மட்டுமல்ல

அமைதியாகவும் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிறது

திசையைமாற்றித் திருப்பிப்போட

யாருமில்லாமல்.
