MALINI MALA

Suffice planting it just once

and watering it

for the roots to gain depth.

After blooming in all splendor

it would go into hiding

as if dead and gone.

Even when not watering it

nor thinking of it

enough if some drop

touches its inner being.

Stirred at once and springing up

Lily is of the colour

of Memories.

ஒரேமுறை ஊன்றி

வேரூன்ற நீர்வார்த்தால் போதும்.

பூத்துச்சிரித்த பின்

அழிந்து போனதாகவே

மறைந்திருக்கும்

நீர்விடாத போதும்

நினைத்தே பார்க்காத பின்னும்

ஏதாவதொரு துளி அதன்

உள்ளுயிர்பைத் தீண்டினால்

போதும்

சட்டெனக் கிளர்ந்தெழும்பும்

லில்லிக்கு

நினைவுகளின் நிறம்
