There was a time

My Son

Do you know

Don’t take this to be just another tale

like The Crow and the ‘Vada’

It was a story having real depth.

Let me tell

(at that time

will there be teeth

will words speak

with grey hair and shrunken skin

I would be in a different get-up)

(Tale)

Throughout the world bird of a lone breed flew

wandering round and round, My Son

The Lord had not trained them to take shelter in trees.

They knew not the joy of building nest.

Taking shelter in his hands as branches

slowly so softly arriving at his nose

trickling in his throat rubbing against it

within a few days

flying into his lungs

Inside that deeming it to be its lifetime habitat

multiplying its tribe

devouring man and turn him dead

minuscule bird invisible to the eyes.

Thousands of lives they had divided

between earth and fire

and vanished.

The story will continue….

In this tale

Interesting things abound.

After my demise

this tale

would be written, My son.

ஒரு காலம் இருந்தது

மகனே

தெரியுமா உங்களுக்கு

காகமும் வடையும் கதையைப்போல நினைக்காதீர்கள்

அது பெரிய ஆழமான கதை

சொல்கிறேன்.

(அப்போது

பற்கள் இருக்குமா

சொற்கள் பேசுமா

நரை திரையென

வேறொரு கோலத்தில் இருப்பேன்).

(கதை)

உலகம் முழுக்க ஓரினப் பறவைகள் பறந்து திரிந்தன மனே

மரங்களில் தங்கி வாழப் பழக்கவில்லை கடவுள்

கூடு கட்டிய மகிழ்வும் அதற்குத் தெரியவில்லை

செய்வதறியாது

மனிதனை இனங்கண்டு துரத்தின

கிளையென அவன் கரங்களில் தங்கி

மெல்ல மெல்ல

அவன் நாசியை அடைந்து

தொண்டையில் சொண்டுரசி

சில தினங்களுக்குள்

சுவாசப் பைக்குள் பறந்து

அதற்குள் வாழ் நாள் கூடென

இனம் பெருக்கி

மனிதனையே உண்டு கொல்லும்

விழிகளில் படாத நுண்ணுயிர்ப் பறவை.

பல்லாயிரம் மனித உயிர்களை

அப்படியே

மண்ணுக்கும்

நெருப்புக்கும்

பங்கிட்டு மறைந்தன.

கதை தொடரும்......

இந்தக் கதைக்குள்

சுவாரஷ்யங்கள்

நிறைந்து கிடக்கின்றன

எனது அந்திமத்துக்குப் பின்னால்

இந்தக் கதை

எழுதப்படும் மகனே.
