BIRD’S SKY OPENED WIDE IN HAYAA’S CHEEK

Hayaa and myself visit a Bird sanctuary

There birds of myriad breed are reared.
In the eyes of birds is seen
the lost sky
Elated at the sight of the birds
Hayaa fluttered as a butterfly.
Of those birds
One nods at her to draw closer
As she obliged at once
it gifted a loving kiss on her silken cheek
through the wire-gap.
Experiencing the feel of the kiss
the bird’s sky robbed of it
through painstaking planning
is spreading in the dimple of her cheek
claims Hayaa

ஹயாவின் கன்னத்தில் விரிந்த
பறவையின் ஆகாயம்

நானும் ஹயாவுமாக
பறவைகள் காட்சி சாலைக்கு செல்கிறோம்
அங்கு விதம் விதமான பறவைகள்
வளர்க்கப்படுகின்றன
அதன் கண்களில் தெரிகிறது
இளந்து போன ஆகாயம்
பறவைகளை கண்ட பேரானந்தத்தில்
பட்டாம்பூச்சியென சிறகடித்துப் பறந்தாள் ஹயா
அதிலொரு பறவை
அவளை தலையசைத்து அழைக்கிறது
உடன் அதனருகில் சென்றதும்
அவள் பட்டுக் கன்னத்தில்
இதழ் பதிந்த முத்தமொன்றை
கம்பி இடுவலினூடாக பருசளிக்கிறது
ஈரம் உலர்வதற்கிடையில்
முத்தத்தின் ஸ்பரிசத்தை உணர்ந்தவள்
திட்டமிட்டு பறிக்கப்பட்ட
அதன் எல்லையற்ற ஆகாயம்
தனது கன்னக் குழியில்
விரிவதாக சொல்கிறாள் ஹயா
