WAVES APART

Upon the sands of this water-spraying seashore

with salt seeping in my person filled with sand all over
I lie there contemplating…

With one wave rising, breaking and scattering
another wave rose in great haste
and chased the previous one…
And unable to touch it
that too crumbled and ceased to be.

Henceforth what am I to ponder over
Which is lie which is truth
Death or Life

I became confusion confounded.

Will there be the stamp of death
in every thing….?

Who at all could return from Death
and tell

I have absolutely no love lost for this life
with its end mysterious:

But I fear not Death too.
With no death how am I to expire?

No living species on this earth can forget
that Life and Death are not real

Just as these waves that can never mate
Life and Death of a human do not congregate.

"பூட்டாத அலைகள் "

நீர் தெறிக்கும் இந்த
கடற்கரை மணலில்
உடம்பில் உப்புக்கசிந்து மண்அப்பி
விழுந்து கிடந்து சிந்திக்கிறேன்...
ஒரு அலை எழுந்து முறிந்து சிதறிப்போக...
இன்னொரு அலை வேகமாக எழுந்து...
முதலில் வந்ததை துரத்தி...
தொடமுடியாமல் அதுவும் சிதைந்து போனது...
நான் இனி
எதை சிந்திப்பது...எது பொய்..எது உண்மை
மரணமா வாழ்கையா?
எனக்குள் ஒரே குழப்பம்...
மரணத்தின் அடயாளம்
ஒவ்வொரு பொருளிலும்
இருக்குமா...?
மரணித்து மீண்டும் வந்து
யாரால்தான் அதை கூறமுடியும்...?
முடிவு தெளிவில்லாத இந்த வாழ்க்கையில் ஒரு துளி கூடப்பிரியமில்லை;
ஆனால்
மரண பயமும் எனக்கில்லை...
மரணமில்லாமல் நான் மரணிப்பதெப்படி..?
இந்தயுகத்தில் வாழும் எந்த ஜீவராசிகளும் மறக்கமுடியாது
மரணமும் வாழ்க்கையும் போலியென்று...
புணரமுடியாத இந்த அலைகளைப்போல
மனிதனின் மரணமும் வாழ்க்கையும்
ஒன்றை ஒன்று சந்திப்பதில்லை...!
