WAY

In such abject darkness

with no star in the sky
and on earth no firefly
O, you shouldn’t have left me
just like that.
The son who came calling
“Dad” asks
“Why are you standing here
so dark
that the face in front
or the trail therein
remains unseen”.
I follow him in silence
secretly wiping my moist eyes.

வழி

வானத்தில்
ஒரு நட்சத்திரமும்
பூமியில்
ஒரு மின்மினியும் கூட
இல்லாத
அப்படியொரு இருட்டில் என்னை
நிறுத்திவிட்டு
நீங்கள் போயிருக்கக்கூடாது
' அப்பா '
அழைத்தபடியே
வந்த மகன்
முன்னிருப்பவர்
முகமோ
அடி வைக்கும்
தடமோ கூடத் தெரியாத
இப்படியொரு இருட்டில்
எதற்கு நிற்கிறீர்கள்
என்று வினவுகிறான்
எதுவும் சொல்லாமல்
அவன் பின்னால்
நடக்கிறேன்
கசியும் கண்களை
இரகசியமாகத் துடைத்தவாறு
