Hauling the whole lot of 

wails and screams of a terrible war
all too vehemently
and subsided
the last gulp that filled
the lungs of Alan Kurdi…

கடைசி மிடறு*

ஒரு பெரும் போரின்
ஓலங்களனைத்தையும்
ஆவேசமாய்
வாரிக் குடித்தடங்கியது
ஆலன் குர்டியின்
நுரையீரல் நிரப்பிய
கடைசி மிடறு...

2.BONDING

All those twenty years

when going there all too rarely
Heeding to the words of the buyer
Digging out the bones of dad, grandpa and grandma
- So, the soil of our land that had
always remained detached
on signing the sale deed
and going there for the last time
sticking so persistently
stays on
with just one particle
falling off per year

இருபது ஆண்டுகளாய்
எப்பொழுதாவது
போகும்பொழுது,
வாங்கியவன் சொல்ல
அப்பா, தாத்தா பாட்டியின்
எலும்புகளை தோண்டியெடுத்து
கரைத்தபொழுது,
என எப்பொழுதுமே ஒட்டாத
தோட்டத்து மண்
கிரயப் பத்திரத்தில்
கையொப்பமிட்டு
கடைசி ஒரு முறை
போகையில்
விடாப்பிடியாய் ஒட்டிக்கொண்டு
ஆண்டுக்கு
ஒரு துகள் வீதம்தான்
உதிர்கிறது...

3. SPARKLE

In the contracting and expanding

all too tiny eyes
of he who
facing the sky lying on his back
upon the stick
held in the mouth of
the pole-dancer
with sunken belly _
The sparkle of
million stars.

வயிறு ஒட்டிய
கழைக்கூத்தாடியின்
வாய் தாங்கிய
குச்சியின் உச்சியில்

வான் பார்த்து
படுத்திருந்தவனின்
சுருங்கி விரிந்த
சின்னஞ்சிறு
கண்களில்
ஆயிரங்கோடி
நட்சத்திர
மினுப்புகள்.
