SHADOW DELUSIONAL

A man goes escorting a woman 

That woman goes escorting a child 

That child goes escorting a doll 

For me who sees from above

The doll seems to escort all

The doll thus escorting

Was bought in a toyshop.

The entire street is filled with toyshops.

The entire city is a city of selling toys

The entire country is a land selling toys.

That doll was made 

melting plastic

and casting it in metal mold

The doll so made was neatly packed

packed so meticulously 

so as to make the child believe 

that the doll in the pack is beautiful indeed.

But it only made the child believe 

that the doll would be lovely

But not that the doll inside the pack

would ever escort it.

மாய நிழல்

ஒரு ஆண் ஒரு பெண்ணை அழைத்துப்போகிறான்

அப்பெண் ஒரு குழந்தையை அழைத்துப் போகிறாள்

அந்த குழந்தை ஒரு பொம்மையை அழைத்துப்

போகிறது

உயரத்தில் இருந்து பார்க்கும் எனக்கு அந்த பொம்மைதான் 

அனைவரையும் அழைத்துப் போவதாக தெரிகிறது.

அழைத்துப் போகும் அப் பொம்மை

ஒரு விளையாட்டுப் பொருட்கள் விற்கும் கடையில் 

வாங்கப்பட்டது;

அத்தெருவெங்கும் விளையாட்டுப் பொருட்கள் விற்கும் 

கடைகள் தான்,

அந் நகரமே விளையாட்டுப்பொருட்கள் விற்கும் நகரம் தான்

அந்த நாடே விளையாட்டுப்பொருட்கள் விற்கும்

நாடுதான்

அந்தப்பொம்மை பிளாஸ்ரிக்கை உருக்கி

உருக்கிய பிளாஸ்ரிக்கை உலோக அச்சில் வார்த்து

தயார் செய்யப்பட்டது

தயார் செய்யப்பட்ட பொம்மையினை அழகாக 

பொதி செய்யப்பட்டது

இந்தப் பொதிக்குள் இருக்கும் பொம்மை அழகானது என்று 

குழந்தை நம்பும்படி பொதி செய்யப்பட்டது

குழந்தைக்கு பொம்மை அழகாக இருக்கும் எனத்தான் 

நம்பவைக்கப்பட்டதே தவிர;

பொதிக்குள் இருக்கும் பொம்மை அழைத்துப் போகும் 

என நம்ப வைக்கப்படவில்லை.
