HE WHO FEELS SAD FOR HIS SUFFERING BRETHREN

 He is not one enchanted by the hues and shades of 

Butterflies

He never wanders in search of the radiance of stars

He doesn’t shed tears for leaves falling

He never sits in penance for the flowers to bloom

He is not one inhaling the scent of gunpowder

He is not one who enjoys the child’s teary cry 

as music supreme.

He is not one who devours women’s flesh

as the rogue cat.

He is not one who fills gloom in books

He is one who thinks not of  making anyone 

wear yokes as ornaments.

He feeds not  anyone with the venom of caste.

He carries not the burden of religious fanaticism 

in heart and brain.

He loves his Mother Tongue

but never shuns other languages

He never makes other race  the manure

for nurturing his own, sure.

He doesn’t mix the imagination of god

in society’s blood.

In water land and wind 

which are the very life of Nature

He would never fill the greed of selfishness.

For making man to live a man

joining hands with the collective society

sowing humaneness as the very essence 

of the future generations

For making life an enchanting flower garden

He wouldn’t hesitate to sacrifice himself. Amen.

சக மனிதனுக்காக துக்கிப்பவன்

பட்டாம்பூச்சிகளின் வர்ணங்களில்

லயித்துக் கிடப்பவனல்ல

நட்சத்திரங்களின் ஒளியைத்

தேடித் திரிபவனல்ல

இலைகள் உதிர்வதற்காக 

கண்ணீர் சிந்துபவனல்ல

பூக்களின் மலர்தலுக்காக தவம்

கிடப்பவனல்ல

வெடிமருந்து வாசனையை

நுகர்ந்து களிப்பவனல்ல

குழந்தைகளின் அழுகையை

சங்கீதமென்று ரசிப்பவனல்ல

பெண்களின் சதையை 

திருட்டுப் பூனையாய் தின்பவனல்ல

புத்தகங்களில் இருளை

நிரப்புவனல்ல

நுகத்தடிகளை ஆபரணங்களென

எவர் மீதும் பூட்ட நினையாதவன்

சாதி நஞ்சை எவருக்கு புகட்டாதவன்

மதவெறியை  இருதயத்திலும் மூளையிலும் சுமக்காதவன்

தாய்மொழியை நேசிப்பான் மற்ற மொழிகளைத் தூஷிப்பவனல்ல

தன் இனம் செழிப்பதற்காக

அயல் இனத்தை உரமாக்குபவனல்ல

கடவுள் கற்பனையை சமூகத்தின் குருதியில் கலக்கமாட்டான்

இயற்கையின் உயிரான நீர் நிலம் காற்றில் 

சுயநலத்தின் பேராசையை நிரப்பமாட்டான்

மனிதனை மனிதனாக வாழ 

திரள் சமூகத்தோடு கரங்கள் கோர்த்து 

மனிதத்தை எதிர்கால சந்ததிக்காக

விதைத்தே 

வாழ்வை எழிலார்ந்த  பூவனமாக்க

தன்னையே பலியிட தயங்காதவன்.

2. ALONENESS AND ITS  TRAVEL NOTES

In order to lose the shadow

I went to the desert

On the sandy space there seated

The images of plants thousand.

With a look of accusation

They glared at me.

I set out to dig the fountain 

For turning them peaceful.

My shadow was destroyed

devouring the body.

2)

Hundred faces for god

Thousand for man

Life that wanders formless

indefinite 

Just as  

by burying its head in the sand

the ostrich  can save its skin

and so climbing the bubble

going on a long voyage

so a lifetime for all

with greed myriad

unquenched.

No language exists

To spell out that which nags the heart

Which words to perform 

the bonding-breaking ritual?

How to express?

In the minutes dropping 

one by one 

bearing untold burden

And push forward the days

In such a voyage sans notes

When… What 

Can be determined?

The Beginning and End

Darkness or Radiance?

In this

Rolling in dreams 

Going beyond Time and Space

With the sky flowering

The earth too feeling ecstatic

As a tiny particle in the universe

the world remains.

தனிமையின் பயணக் குறிப்புகள்

நிழலைத் தொலைக்கப்

பாலைவனத்திற்குப் போனேன்

மணல் வெளியில் வீற்றிருந்தன

ஆயிரம் தாவரங்களின் பிம்பங்கள்

பழிப் பார்வையோடு

கோபமாய் முறைத்தன

நீர் ஊற்றைத் தோண்ட முனைந்தேன்

அவற்றைச் சாந்தம் கொள்ள வைக்க

நிழல் அழிந்து போனது

என் உடலைத் தின்றுவிட்டு.

கடவுளுக்கு நூறு உருவங்கள்

மனிதனுக்கு ஆயிரம் முகங்கள்

அரூபமாய் திரிகிற 

அறுதியிடாத வாழ்க்கை

நெருப்புக்கோழி தன் தலையை 

மண்ணில் புதைத்து விட்டால்

உயிர் தப்பி விடலாம் என்பதாய் 

நீர்க் குமிழியேறி

நீள் பயணம் செல்லும் 

பிறவிக் காலம் யாவர்க்கும்

தீராத பேராசைகளுடன்

நெஞ்சுக்குள் புழுங்குவதை

வார்த்தைகளாக்க ஏது மொழி ? 

தொடுப்பு முடிப்பு எனும் சடங்கு நிகழ்த்த

எந்தச் சொற்கள்?

எங்ஙனம் வெளிபடுத்த? 

உதிரும் நிமிஷங்களில்

அல்லலேற்று

நாட்களை நகர்த்தியே போகும் 

குறிப்பற்ற பயணத்தில்

என்று..எதை..அறுதியிட ஏலும் ? 

ஆதியும் அந்தமும் இருளா? ஒளியா? 

இதில் கனவுகளில் புரண்டு புரண்டு

காலம் , வெளி கடந்து

வானம் பூத்திருக்க 

பூமியும் புளகாங்கிதம் கொள்ள

பிரபஞ்சத்தில் 

சிறு துகளாய் உலகம்.
