The White bud

to be flowering today

The first squirrel

climbing on the ribs of 

fractured branch

The early morn’s leaving of 

the electric-wire parrots

The beak of the peacock

alighting into the lawn

The regimented cloud-cover of the

Sun dawned

The winnowing of the 

Wild oats 

with roots moving off the arable land

The same East of 

the different windows 

through which we –

 Father and I – perceive.

இன்று பூக்கப் போகும் 

வெண்ணிற முகை

முறிந்த மரக்கிளையின் விலா எலும்புகளில் 

ஏறும் முதல் அணில்

மின்கம்பிக் கிளிகளின் 

அதிகாலை விலகல்

புல்வெளிக்குள் இறங்கும் மயிலின்

அலகு

உதயமாகும் சூரியனின்

பத்திய மேகமறைப்பு

உழுநிலத்திலிருந்து வேர்நீங்கிய 

காட்டுக் காடைக்கண்ணிகளின்  

தூற்றல்

அப்பாவும் நானும் பார்க்கும்

வெவ்வேறு ஜன்னல்களின்

ஒரே கிழக்கு
