With mere debates and arguments can’t grow
Dry philosophies cannot prevent a bubble
from bursting
The chants of priests won’t wash away
even the dust and dirt accumulated
on the idol
The fire set to rage by campaigns
in the yellow river
won’t burn in Thamiravaruni
Words are mere feathers
Action alone alike a full-fledged dove
it is only because the Ujjayini mount
spoke nothing save silence
Kalidasan remains a poet
Piano’s rows of teeth preserved a golden quiet
out of that Beethoven collected
his sonata absolute
Between two words dwell
Poem real
Between two lips
woman’s smile is cupped
Nazareth went on talking
But only when nailed in the Cross
he turned Jesus
Siddhartha on preserving silence
_The serene Buddha.
வெறும் தர்க்கங்களால்
சின்னச் செடியைக் கூட
வளர்க்க முடியாது
வரட்டுத் தத்துவங்களால்
ஒரு நீர்க்குமிழி உடைவதை
தடுத்துநிறுத்த முடியாது.
பூசாரியின் மந்திரங்கள்
சிலைமீது படிந்த அழுக்கைக்கூட
கழுவிடாது
பிரச்சாரங்களினால்
மஞ்சள் நதியில் பற்றிய தீ
தாமிரபரணியில் எரியாது
சொற்கள் வெறும் இறகுகள்
செயல்மட்டுமே ஒரு புறா நிகர்
மெளனத்தை மட்டுமே
உஜ்ஜையனி மலை பேசியதால்தான்
காளிதாசன் கவிஞனாயிருக்கிறான்.
பியானோவின் பல் வரிசை
அமைதி காத்தது.
பீத்தோவன் அதிலிருந்து
எடுத்துக் கொண்டான்
தன் " சொனட்"டாவை
இரண்டு சொற்களுக்கு
இடையேதான் உள்ளது
உண்மையான கவிதை
இரண்டு உதட்டுக்கு நடுவேதான்
ஒரு பெண்ணின் புன்னகை
நாசரேத் பேசிக்கொண்டே இருந்தார்...ஆனால்
சிலுவையில் ஏற்றப்பட்ட போதுதான்
ஏசுவானார்
சித்தார்த்தன் மெளனம் காத்தபோதுதானே
புத்தன்.
