Curtain

for certain

they are but redundant

For the song that is no song

the squeals of bird and squirrel

provide the background music

Blowing breeze

Dropping dry leaves

The midday sun turning misty

The white clouds on the move changing forms

pursue those hands and legs

swaying to their hearts’ singular rhythm.

She the unknown

seeing none

goes on dancing

Those sick-minded ones move on

in abject indifference

At the close of the dance

the coins dropping out of the sari-pleats

tucked at the hipside

and scattering

resonated Yadukula Kamboji.

மா.காளிதாஸ்

எந்த இசைக் குறிப்புகளும் இல்லை.

சிகையலங்காரம், ஒப்பனை

நுழைவுச்சீட்டுகள், நாற்காலிகள்

பார்வையாளர்கள், கைதட்டல்கள்

திரைச்சீலை ஏதுமில்லை

அதற்கான அவசியமுமில்லை.

பாடல் அல்லாத பாடலுக்கு ஒத்திசைகிறது

பறவை மற்றும் அணிலின் கீச்சொலி.

தன் போக்கில் அசையும் கை கால்களைத் தொடர்கின்றன,

விட்டுவிட்டு வீசும் இளந்தென்றலும்

உதிரும் சருகும்

மங்கும் மதிய வெயிலும்

நகர்ந்து உருமாறும் வெண்மேகமும்.

யாரென்றே தெரியாத அவள்

யாரென்றே தெரியாத

யாரையும் கவனிக்காமலே

நடனமாடிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறாள்.

எதையும் சட்டை செய்யாமல்

நகர்கிறார்கள் மனப்பிறழ்வுக்காரர்கள்.

நடனத்தின் முடிவில் சரிசெய்யப்படும் இடுப்புக் கொசுவத்திலிருந்து

சிதறிய சில்லறைகள்

யதுகுல காம்போதியை எழுப்பின.
