BEING AWARE OF THE

HERE AND NOW

I have left behind in the Future sphere

the seat that I usually occupy.

Toward the meeting point

of the East and the West

it sits daily.

It is sitting there in that

the books are being read these days.

The books born of each of the books

move around having varied consciousness

of the Present.

Along the course of wilderness where I go for a walk every day

a piece of work pursued me lastly.

Upon rising from the seat

The Myhnah penned in the piece of work

The wonder of the patterns

star-woven

flash across to and fro.

The seat is not just vacant

not just looking at the Future

but also sits quietly

with none there to turn it

the other way round.

நிகழ்கால பிரஞை

எதிர்காலவெளியில் விட்டு வந்திருக்கிறேன்

வழக்கமாக உட்காரும் இருக்கையை

அது கிழக்கும் தெற்கும் சந்தித்துக்கொள்ளுகிற புள்ளியை நோக்கி

அமர்கிறது தினமும்

அவ்விருக்கையில் அமர்ந்தபடிதான் நூல்கள் இப்போதெல்லாம் வாசிக்கப்படுகின்றன

நூல்கள் ஒவ்வொன்றிலிருந்தும் உருப்பெறும் படைப்புகள்

நிகழ்காலப் பிரஞைகளோடு உலவுகின்றன

தினசரி நடைக்குப் போகும் பொட்டல்வெளித் தடத்தில்

படைப்பொன்று கடைசியாகப் பின்தொடர்ந்து வந்தது

படைப்பில் எழுதப்பட்ட மைனாவும்

நட்சத்திரச் சேர்க்கைகளின் விந்தையும்

இருக்கையைவிட்டு எழுந்தபோது

வந்துபோகின்றன

இருக்கை காலியாக மட்டுமல்ல

எதிர்காலத்தைப் பார்த்து மட்டுமல்ல

அமைதியாகவும் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிறது

திசையைமாற்றித் திருப்பிப்போட

யாருமில்லாமல்.
