Hey you Flutist-par-excellence!!!!

How come the universal sweetness overflows

in the song you play?

In your flute that gives out the ‘Alapanas’

for one and all

Why there is angst that erodes the heart?

You must have stolen the love songs of

the primordial female,

stuffed them inside your flute

and pour them out as music – right?

There, in the soulful music of your flute

sorrows unwritten have been redeemed.

Poems untold have attained deliverance.

My life-bird gaining wings

come and sit in the holes of your flute.

Can the sky’s expanse be

more than that of Music?

குழலிசைக்காரா!!!!

நீ மீட்டுகிற பாடலில்

பிரபஞ்ச இனிமையெல்லாம்

ததும்பி வழிகிறதேன்

எல்லோருக்குமான

ஆலாபனைகளை

இசைக்கிறவுன் குழலில்

ஆத்மமுருக்கும்

வேதனை தொனிக்கிறதேன்

ஆதிக்கிழவியின்

காதல் பாட்டையெல்லாம்

களவெடுத்து தானே

உன் குழலிலடைத்து

இசையாய் பொழிகிறாய்

அதோ உன்

குழலிசையால்

விமோசனம் பெற்றன

எழுதாத துயரங்கள்

மோட்சமடைந்தன

சொல்லாத கவிதைகள்

சிறகு முளைத்த என்

உயிர்ப்பறவை

உன்

குழற்றுழையில் வந்து

உட்கார்ந்து கொள்கிறது

இசையை விடவுமா

வானம் பெரியது!!!!
