In time immortal

in a tune unparalleled

I am going to compose you.

Your memories weighing heavy

as the smithereens of my smile

embrace me and go into hiding.

As the soil so drenched

bearing dumb wound

a young woman with heart still

childlike.

As snake speeding past noiselessly

I string the silent tune.

In this cosmic wait

the heart grown weary

searching for you with overflowing love

bursts as ‘Ilavampanju’ and flies

At the corner of the road stretching on

your memories as the aroma of herbs

spotless

As like wooden chips

stuck on the beak of woodpecker

your form is blended in my dream too

the joy of victory comes true.

In the breeze quivering with

the fragrance of ‘Kaasithumbai’

bearing your memories that keep springing

as the child that go seeking the spectacular scenes

even after the close of the grand festival

நித்திய காலத்தில்

அதியுன்னதமான ஒரு ராகத்தில்

உனை மீட்டப் போகின்றேன்

என் புன்னகையின் சிதிலங்களாக

கனத்துக் கிடக்கும் உன் நினைவுகள்

ஆலிங்கனம் செய்து மறைந்து

கொள்கின்றன

ஈரம் கோர்த்த நிலமாக

ஊமைக் காயம் சுமந்து

பிஞ்சு மனம் மாறாத பாவையாய்

சத்தமின்றி ஓடும் சர்ப்பத்தைப்போல்

மௌன ராகம் மீட்டுகிறேன்

இப் பிரபஞ்சக் காத்திருப்பில்

நேசப் பிரவாகத்தோடு

உனைத்தேடிக் களைத்துப்போன மனம்

இலவம் பஞ்சாக வெடித்துப் பறக்கிறது

நீண்டு செல்லும் பாதையோரத்தில்

என் தேடல்களுக்குள்

இலக்கணப் பிழையின்றி

மூலிகை வாசமாக உன் நினைவுகள்

மரங்கொத்திப் பறவையின் சொண்டில்

ஒட்டிக் கொண்ட மரத் துகள்களாய்

என் சொப்பனத்திலும் உன் உருவம்

கலந்ததால்

வெற்றிக்கனி பறித்த மகிழ்ச்சி

காசித்தும்பையின் வாசனையோடு

சிலிர்த்திடும் தென்றலில்

சுணைக்கும் உன் நினைவுகளை சுமந்து

திருவிழா முடிந்தும் காட்சியைத் தேடும்

சிறுபிள்ளையாய் இவள்....
