A thousand-year old Tortoise

told tales

I know that tortoise for the past hundred years

When its black hands rolled

Its white belly could be seen

Stretching its head out of its shell

It was conversing with the children of the shore

about the splendid life of its Sea.

When those few strands of hair quivering ecstatically

on its mid-head

Bowed down paying their homage crying “Yes! Yes!”

It posed as a Zen master.

Its tail densely sandy was touching the waves

Even when called out “come, come...”

turning and placing its index finger on its lips

saying ‘Shhhhh’ it went on speaking

Finally

waving goodbye with its fanny hand

‘ there are still heaps of shells inside

so saying with a pair of eyes -

the wonder of the world, so nice

it returned to the sea

ஆகாச மூர்த்தி

ஆயிரம் வயதுடைய ஆமை

கதைகள் சொல்லியது

நான் அந்த ஆமையைக் கடந்த நூறு வருடங்களாக அறிவேன்

அதன் கருத்த கரங்கள் புரளும்போது

வெண் நிறமுடைய வயிற்றைப்

பார்க்க முடிந்தது

கரைக் குழந்தைகளிடம்

தனது கடலின் அற்புத வாழ்வியலை ஓட்டுக்குள்ளிருந்து தலைநீட்டிப்

பேசிக்கொண்டிருந்தது

அதன் உச்சந்தலையில் சிலிர்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் நான்கைந்து மயிர்களும்

அது பேசிய கதைகளுக்குத் தலைவணங்கி ஆமாம் சாமி போட்டபோது

ஒரு ஜென் துறவியென தோற்றங் காட்டியது

அதன் மணல் அடர்ந்த வால் அலைகளைத் தொட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தது

வா வா என்று அழைத்தபோதும் திரும்பி வாயில் ஆட்காட்டி விரல் வைத்து அலைகளிடம் உஸ்..... சொல்லிவிட்டு

பேசிக் கொண்டேயிருந்தது

நிறைவாகத் தன் விசிறிக் கரத்தால் டாட்டா காட்டியவாறு இன்னும் கதைக் கிளிஞ்சல்கள் உள்ளே கொட்டிக் கிடக்கின்றன எனவே

உலகின் வியப்பான இரு விழிகளால் இயம்பிவிட்டு

கடலுக்குத் திரும்பியது
