 SILENCE IS MEDITATION’S THRESHOLD

Sharper than sword is Silence

When it is swung not blood

but emotions drip all over the battlefield.

When not speaking

The very glance turns into a poem

I write that

It is the translation of your silence

With words non-violent

We battled against each other

Victory belongs to thee.

Silence is the threshold of meditation

So you taught me

I copied silence from thee.

If the fool remains silent

He would be considered enlightened

So you baptized me

The world filled with noises

stands ennobled by your silence

Right from the first line of my poem

It is your silence that paves the words.

Never ever renounce Silence

It might end up as the death of a poet.

மௌனம் என்பது தியானத்தின் வாசல்

ஒரு வாளை விடக் கூரியது மௌனம்

அது வீசப்படுகையில் குருதி அல்ல

படுகளத்தில் உணர்வுகள் சிந்துகின்றன.

பேசாத நேரத்தில்

பார்வையே கவிதையாக உருவெடுக்கிறது

அதை எழுதுகிறேன்

உன் மௌனத்தின் மொழிபெயர்ப்பு அது.

வன்முறையற்ற சொற்களால்

சமர்செய்கிறோம்

வெற்றி உன்வசமாகிறது.

மௌனம் என்பது தியானத்தின்

வாசல் என வகுப்பெடுத்தாய்

மௌனத்தை உன்னிடமிருந்து பிரதியெடுத்தேன்

முட்டாள் மௌனமாக இருந்தால்

ஞானியாகக் கருதப்படுவான்

என ஞானஸ்நானம் கொடுத்தாய்

சத்தங்களால் நிறைந்த உலகம்

உன் மௌனத்தால் மேன்மை பெறுகிறது.

என் கவிதையின் முதல் வரி தொடங்கி

உன் மௌனமே சொற்களைப் பாவுகிறது

ஒருபோதும் மௌனத்தை துறந்துவிடாதே

அது ஒரு கவிஞனின் மரணமாக முடிந்துவிடலாம்.
