THE DRY FOLIAGE OF WORD DROPPING ONE BY ONE…

In the gambling with words pledged

I won over a He.

And He began

inquiring after the Word

that had occupied the vacant space

lost by him.

Under the tree-shade where he had sat to repose

along the long course of travel

that word sang a song

ridding him off his fatigue and reenergizing him.

He took notes.

When the Word turned weary and fallen asleep

He was counting the leaves of the tree.

Along the journey continued

He had a heated argument with it.

The dry foliage of that Word which began

dropping one by one

changed colour

As words varied

in the Game of dice

wherein I turned into He

the Word that won over me

turned into a vast expanse of jungle.

இலை இலையாக உதிரத் தொடங்கும் சொல்லின் சருகுகள்..

சொல்லை வைத்து ஆடிய சூதில்

ஓர் அவனை வென்றேன்

இழந்த அவனின் வெற்றிடத்தை

அபகரித்துக்கொண்ட சொல்லைக் குறித்து

விசாரிக்கத் தொடங்கினான்

பயண நெடுவழி தோறும்

ஓய்வாய் உட்கார்ந்துவிட்ட மர நிழலில்

பாடலொன்றை பாடியது களைப்புத்தீர

அச்சொல்

குறிப்புகள் எடுத்துக்கொண்டான்

சொல் ஓய்ந்து அயர்ந்தபோது

மரத்தின் இலைகளை எண்ணிக் கொண்டிருந்தான்

தொடர்ந்த பயணத்தில்

தர்க்க வாதம் பண்ணினான் அதனிடம்

நடக்க நடக்க பாதையெங்கும் இலை இலையாக

உதிரத் தொடங்கிய

சொல்லின் சருகுகள் ஒவ்வொன்றும் நிறம் மாறின

வேறு வேறு சொல்லாக

நான் அவனாகிப் போன சூதில்

என்னை வென்ற சொல்

பெருங்காடாகியது
