“Whether you like it or not

the Sun scatters its heat rays.

Can’t stop the rain

Saying “Don’t want.

“Can’t command the tempest

Saying “Enough. Quit at once”

Only after surging downwards

and pouring out

the cataract turns into river

and calms down..

Poems too seem to be of the same

essence;

The mysterious outcome of an

intrinsic persistence.

“நீ விரும்பினாலும்

விரும்பாவிட்டாலும்

வெயில் அடிக்கிறது.

வேண்டாம் என்று

மழையைத் தடுக்க முடிவதில்லை.

போதும் நிறுத்து என்று

புயலுக்கு உத்தரவிட இயல்வதில்லை.

நீர்வீழ்ச்சி விழுந்து கொட்டியபின் தான்

ஆறாகி அடங்குகிறது.

இந்தக் கவிதைகளும் அப்படித்தான் போலும்

ஒருவித மானஸீகப் பிடிவாதத்தின்

மர்மவெளிப்பாடு.

(2) BEING

The moisture on the tip of grass-blade

A towering tree’s newborn leaf

A droplet of mercy of the innermost heart.

Heat of the lightning’s forehead

Scattering seed dust.

Memories’ sperm anew

Din gone into hiding before knowledge

Deluge that devoured the dam

I, Myself devoured.

Honey born within

Poem’s carnival.

பிறவி

புல்லின் நுனி ஈரம்

நெடுமரத்தின் இலைக்குஞ்சு

அடி மனசின் துளிக்கருணை

மின்னலின் நெற்றிச்சூடு

சிதறும் விதைப்புழுதி

நினைவின் புது விந்து

அறிவுக்கு மறைந்த ஆரவாரம்

அணையை விழுங்கிய வெள்ளக்காடு

என்னைத் தின்ற நான்

எனக்குள் பிறந்த தேன்

கவிதையின் கும்மாளம்
