SCULPTING WORDS

Aligning bricks with precision

they build walls and erect mansions.

Assembling words in the best order

let’s try constructing poem.

The lovers would revel in the park

Upon fixing the arrow in the bow and releasing it

sure would fall, our foes.

Adjourning

even the good would dissolve into nothing

The flooding river would cause deluges

When the words caged in the prison within

grow luminous

there would be magic on stage.

Ordinary words would create History.

Words would stand humbly

with folded hands

in front of Kamban, the Great - it is said.

The best word in the best order

Kamban would always favour

And the epic would be born

Those who witness it would turn

awestruck

The marvel of words

would make even the Omniscient

pay His respect to the Poet.

When the words neatly twined

reach their culmination

a neo-poem would come into being

It is in the birth of words

the mind experiences bliss.

The heart feels elated.

For the words untold

myriad openings are there.

Henceforth

the time to come

would be establishing Words’ regime.

Let’s keep waiting

for words new and pristine.

*சொற்களை* *சிற்பமாக்குதல்*

கற்களை சீராக அடுக்கி வைத்து

சுவர்கள் கட்டி மாளிகை எழுப்புகின்றார்

சொற்களை கூட்டி வைத்து

சுவைபடக் கவிதை எழுத முயற்சிப்போம்

காதலர் பூங்காவில் மகிழ்வர்

வில்லைப் பூட்டி அம்புகள் எய்தால் எதிரிகள் வீழ்வர்

நாட்களை கடத்திட நல்லவைகளும் மறையும்

நதியின் பெருக்கில் வெள்ளங்கள் உருவாகும்

மனச் சிறையில் சிறைபட்ட சொற்கள்

பிரகாசமாகும் போது

விந்தைகள் அரங்கேறும்

சாதாரண சொல்லும் சரித்திரம் படைக்கும்

கம்பனிடம் சொற்கள் கைகட்டி நிற்குமாம்

எதற்கு எந்த சொல்

எனப் பொருத்தமாக கையாள்வானாம் கம்பன்

காப்பியம் பிறக்கும்

கண்டவரும் வியப்பர்

சொல்லின் கீர்த்தி மூர்த்தியையும் தொழ வைக்கும்

நேர்த்தியாக கட்டப்படும் சொற்கள்

பூர்த்தியடையும் போது

புதுக்கவிதை உருவாகும்

சொற்களின் பிறப்பில் தான் மனம் சந்தோசப்படுகிறது

ஆனத்தம் அரங்கேறுகிறது

சொல்லாத சொல்லுக்கு புது புது திறப்புகள் காத்திருக்கின்றன

இனிவரும் காலங்கள் சொற்களின் இராஜாங்கத்தை

கட்டமைக்க போகின்றன
