REBIRTH

If pressed

In a matter of ten minutes

You would get used to

Hundred and Forty

None of the wagons once came

Ever again returned

He would grasp the problem

all too precisely

by the mere faulty sound

On an other day

With the hands of fate

throwing him apart

Injured in the head

almost on the throes of death

lying motionless in the ICU

He threw open his shop

in the fifth month itself

In the sobs flooding within

and exploding

with tears overflowing

stroking the machines one by one

and wiping them clean again and again

Alas, how to tell him at all

to go in search of a livelihood

or change the trade for good?

மறுபிறவி

அழுத்தினால்

நூற்றிநாற்பது

பத்தே நிமிடத்தில்

பழகிவிடும்

எந்த ஒரு வாகனமும்

வந்தவை திரும்பவும்

வந்ததில்லை

அவன் தவறால்

சத்தத்தை வைத்தே

தலையில் அடிபட்டு

சாகக்கிடந்தவன்

அவசர சிகிச்சைப் பிரிவில்

அசைவின்றிக் கிடந்தவன்

ஐந்தாம் மாதமே

கடைதிறந்து விட்டான்

உள்ளுக்குள் பொங்கி

வெடித்த அழுகையில்

கண்ணீர் வழிய

இயந்திரங்களை

ஒவ்வொன்றாக

மீண்டும் மீண்டும்

தொட்டுத் துடைப்பவனிடம்

எப்படிச் சொல்ல முடியும்

வேலை தேடு என்றோ,

தொழிலை மாற்று என்றோ?
