If we happen to meet again

Let’s not accuse each other and make us stand in the witness box

Let us not lament over broken dreams or the ones smashed.

Nor justify things happened claiming their occurrence caused by this and for this reason

Let us not feel the wounds turned scars and heave a deep sigh

Let us not shed tears, let us not search for excuses and analyze them

No need for customary greetings and goodwishes

Let there be no pretentious dialogues.

Let us not vie with each other to prove how happy we are in the life sans thee

Let us not try hard to make each other believe that

The other is thoroughly wiped out of one’s memory

Since long

Also

if we happen to meet again

let us not keep mutually mourning

that it was due to our extreme

that we have lost midway

such a kinship

such care and affection

such love so pristine

and returned home

empty-handed.

Instead

in this great grand universe

that keep swirling, circling

if we happen to meet again

as wayfarers along the highway

let’s part with a brief smile

and return ,

to our new worlds anon.

இனியொருமுறை

நாம் சந்திக்க நேர்ந்தால்

ஒருவரை ஒருவர் குற்றப்படுத்தி கூண்டிலேற்ற வேண்டாம்

உடைந்த

உடைத்துப்போட்டக் கனவுகளைக் குறித்து அங்கலாய்க்க வேண்டாம்

இதற்காகத்தான் இதனால்தானென நிகழ்ந்ததெதையும் நியாயப்படுத்த வேண்டாம்

ஆறிப்போனக் காயங்களைத் தடவிப்பார்த்து பெருமூச்சு விடவேண்டாம்

கண்ணீர் சிந்த வேண்டாம் காரணகாரியங்களை தேடியாய்ந்திட வேண்டாம்

சம்பிரதாய நலன் விசாரிப்புக்கள் வேண்டாம்

பாசாங்குப் பேச்சுக்கள் வேண்டாம்

நீ இல்லாத வாழ்வில்

நான் எப்படியெல்லாம் மகிழ்ந்திருக்கிறேறென ஒருவருக்கொருவர் நிரூபித்துக்கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டாம்

என் நினைவுகளிலிருந்து

எப்போதோ உன்னை நான்

துடைத்தெறிந்து விட்டேன் பாரென

ஒருவரையொருவர் நம்ப வைத்திட வேண்டாம்

பின்னும்

இனியொருமுறை

நாம் சந்திக்க நேர்ந்தால்

நம் அதீத பைத்தியக்காரத்தனங்களால்

எப்படி ஓர் உறவை

ஒரு பிரியத்தை

ஒரு காதலை

நடுவழியில் தொலைத்துவிட்டு வெறுங்கையாய்

வீடு திரும்பினோமென

ஒருவரிடம் ஒருவர்

நாம் புலம்பிக்கொண்டிருக்க

வேண்டாம்

மாறாக

சுற்றிச்சுழலும்

இந்தப் பேரண்டத்தில்

இனியொருமுறை

நாம் சந்திக்க நேர்ந்தால்

நெடுஞ்சாலை சக பயணியாய்

சிறு புன்னகையில்

விடைபெற்றுத் திரும்பிடுவோம்

வா

நம் புதிய

உலகங்களுக்கு
