Voluminous Ocean
Something on somebody
You would force on me and leave
as silence deafening….
Solaces offered by the ordinary man
with pilgrimage undertaken yet again
would bring alive
The lost love for God.
You are the strings of an instrument
that can’t tune the abject vulnerability
of the street singer
Thirst unquenchable for water
amidst the never-ending fire’s
tongues of flames
are the tales yet alive
of retrieving the land….
With hopes held fast
on a page gone past
Pages innumerable
not leafed through as yet

பெருங்கடல் ....
யாரின் மீதோவான
ஏதோவொன்றை
என் மீதே திணித்து போவாய்
பெரும் மௌனமென .....
யாத்திரை மீளும்
சாமான்யனின்
ஆறுதல்கள்
கடவுளின் மீதான
தீர்ந்து போன காதலை
மீள உயிர்ப்பிக்கும் ....
இரவுப்பாடகனின்
அந்தரிப்பினை
மீட்ட முடியாத
வாத்தியமொன்றின்
நரம்புகள் நீ ......
தீயின் தீராத
நாவுகளிடையே
நீர் குறித்தான
வேட்கைகள்;
இன்னமும் வாழும்
நிலமீட்பின்
கதையாடல்கள் .....
கடந்து போன
ஒரு பக்கத்தின்
மீதான நம்பிக்கைகளுடன்
இன்னும் புரட்டப்படாத
கணக்கற்ற பக்கங்கள் .....

பாழ் வீழ்ந்த
நிலத்தின்
குறைந்த பட்ச கோரிக்கை
"எனக்காக காத்திருங்கள்"
மேகங்கள் கூடி
முடித்த கலவியில்
இனி பிரசவம் மட்டுமே
பாக்கி
குறைமாத குழந்தை
கருச்சிதைவு
சாத்தியங்களை தாண்டி
சில துளிகள்
ஒரு மர நிழலில்
உட்காரும் வழமையை
மாற்றி விடுகிறேன்
தூரத்தில் ஆடுகள்
மேய்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றன
