THE KNOW-HOWS A WORD KNOWS

Searching for a place to sit

A word strolls all over the sheet

As soon as it sits

The doors of the word

open at once

all the words that set forth from within

sit in places of their preferences.

The one who stood next to me

Said this is a fine love letter

Just as the birds that after circling in the sky

Alighting on the tree

Leaping from the sheet

And whirling in the space

When it comes to sit on the

Sheet again

He called it a wonderful poem

The door of the word opened

All the words have got inside

Walking a little distance on the sheet

That lone word

Turning into a butterfly

Hovered in her eyes.

As she fluttered her eyelids

Blinking

Those words kept writing

Poem all over the sheet.

Now she is sleeping

The sheet is slowly breaking into dawn.

I go on

early in the morn

the first human who came across

standing on the shoreline of eyes

jumping into her heart in a trice

is doing exercise.

ஒரு சொல்லுக்குத் தெரிந்த வித்தைகள்

அமர்வதற்கு ஏற்ற இடம் தேடி

தாளெங்கும் அலைகிறது ஒரு சொல்

அமர்ந்ததும், சொல்லின் கதவுகள்

படபடவெனத் திறக்கின்றன

வரிசையாக உள்ளிருந்து

புறப்பட்ட சொற்கள் எல்லாம்

விரும்பிய இடங்களில்

உட்கார்ந்து கொண்டன

எனக்கருகில் நின்றவர்

இது ஒரு அழகான காதல் கடிதம்

எனச் சொன்னார்.

வானில் வட்டமடித்து மரத்தில்

குந்தும் பறவைகளைப் போல

தாளிலிருந்து எழுப்பி

அந்தரத்தில் வட்டமடித்துவிட்டு

மீண்டும் தாளில் அமரும்போது

அற்புதமான ஒரு கவிதை என்றார்

அந்தச் சொல்லின் கதவு திறந்தது

சொற்கள் எல்லாம் நுழைந்துவிட்டன

தாளில் சிறுதுாரம் நடந்த

அந்த ஒரு சொல்,

ஒரு வண்ணத்திப் பூச்சியாகி

அவளின் கண்களில் மொய்த்தது

அவள் இமைக்க இமைக்க

தாள்களெங்கும் கவிதை எழுதின

இப்போது அவளுறங்குகிறாள்

தாள் மெல்ல விடிந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறது

அதிகாலையில் நான் நடந்து செல்கிறேன்

சந்தித்த முதல் மனிதன்

விழிக் கரையில் நின்று

அவளின் மனதிற்குள் குதித்து

பயிற்சி செய்து கொண்டிருக்கிறான்
