bearing the burden of the last word of parting
You would be feeling anguished
For a few more days
watching the last scene again and again
Peaceful and perturbed you would grow in turn
The TP remaining unchanged
and the Status that shows nothing
You would recall them over and over
and be engulfed in despair
If by chance you Status were to be seen
feeling at peace
as if you have seen the very face
you would turn breathless.
choking and panting
With the passing days
Getting used to separation and its ways
Upon learning the tale of the one
making you get used to separation
has the heart hardened into stone
you would end up in tears unleashed.
பிரிவுக்குப் பழக்குதல்

பிரிவின் முதல் நாள்
பிரிவின்
கடைசிச்சொல்லொன்றைச்
சுமந்து சுமந்து
குமைந்து கொள்வாய்
மேலும் சில நாட்களுக்கு லாஸ்ட்சீன்
பார்த்துப் பார்த்து நிம்மதியும்
பதட்டமுமாய் அலைவாய்
மாற்றப்படாத டி.பி க்கும்
எதுவும் காட்டாத ஸ்டேட்டஸையும்
எண்ணி எண்ணி விரக்திகொள்வாய்
எதேச்சையாய் உன் ஸ்டேட்டஸ் பார்க்கப்பட்டிருந்தால்
முகமே கண்ட நிம்மதியில்
மூச்சு வாங்குவாய்
நாட்கள் சென்றேற
பிரிவுப் பழகிப்போக
பழக்கியவர் நெஞ்சைக் கல்லாக்கிக் கொண்ட கதையறிந்தால் கதறியழுவாய்.

I held both of them.

Just one, not two’
As it said so
Leaving my heart with one
I held so fast the other.
Even after all these years
Seeing, by chance
My heart and that finger
holding each other
roaming together
even after all these years
My fingers began to quiver.

இரண்டிலொன்றை
எடுத்துக்கொள் என்று
காலம் என்னை நோக்கி
விரல்களை நீட்டியபோது
பேதைச் சிறுவனாய்
இரண்டு விரல்களையும்
சேர்த்துப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டேன்
ம்கூம்.. ஆகாது
ஒன்றுதானென்ற போது
ஒருவிரலோடு
மனதை விட்டுவிட்டு
மற்றொன்றை இறுகப்
பற்றிக்கொண்டேன்
இவ்வளவு காலத்திற்குப்பின்னும்
யதேச்சையாய்
காணுமிடத்தில்
மனதும் அவ்விரலும்
பற்றிக்கொண்டு
சுற்றுவதைக் கண்டு
என் விரல்கள் நடுங்கத் தொடங்கின
